She was much more than even that on Friday.<\/p>\n<p>The Tennessee swimmer and Irish Olympian made it a 3-peat in the 100 breast, going 57.00 to lower her morning pool and meet record. Add a 200 fly to the pile.<\/p>\n<p>Sims went 1:51.45, taking down the meet and conference record to add another gold medal to the pile for the title-aspirant Florida Gators. She clipped .06 seconds off the meet record, set in 2022. Sims was 1.98 seconds ahead of South Carolina\u2019s <strong>Greta Pelzek,<\/strong> and Sims\u2019 was the only NCAA a cut of the meet. He was .25 up on the pair tied for second, the position Savickas was in last year. When he did that, teammate <strong>Dillon Hillis<\/strong> won. This time it\u2019s Savickas on top with <strong>Julian Smith<\/strong> tied for second in 51.26 with Texas A&amp;M\u2019s <strong>Alex Sanchez.<\/strong> Both were also under Hillis\u2019 2020 pool mark from the beginning of the day. And it\u2019s more than three seconds quicker than California\u2019s pool record from 2012.<\/p>\n<p>Florida was second in 3:25.16, also an NCAA A cu, as was Texas A&amp;M in third and Alabama in fourth.<\/p>\n<p>Of note in the meet: McSharry, who split 55.94 seconds. The fastest fly split was <strong>Olivia Peoples<\/strong> in 50.12 for Florida. <strong>Bella Sims<\/strong> led off the relay in 50.07 seconds, quicker than the time that <strong>Isabel Ivey<\/strong> used to win the 100 back. The Gators went 3:00.49 to set the pool record, though it is 1.01 seconds slower than the meet record they set last year and two seconds shy of the NCAA record that same foursome set last year.<\/p>\n<p>Two are holdovers from last year, <strong>Josh Liendo<\/strong> and <strong>Macguire McDuff.<\/strong> The front half is changed, with 100 back champ <strong>Jonny Marshall<\/strong> and 100 breast winner <strong>Aleksas Savickas.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Tennessee finished second in 3:01.27. They have an A cut, as does Auburn in third in 3:03.96. Georgia and Texas A&amp;M tied for fourth, both in an A cut of 3:04.72.<\/p>\n<p>Marshall was only the fourth-fastest in the backstroke leg in 45.13. <strong>Ruard Van Renen<\/strong> went 44.95 to lead the way for Georgia.
