He took down the mark of 44.04 seconds set last year by his frequent conference foil, 50 free champ <strong>Jordan Crooks<\/strong> of Tennessee. She has a 4:03.65 to her name this season.<\/p>\n<p>Florida could pounce in the team standings here. <strong>Zoe Dixon<\/strong> is the second seed in 4:08.07. <strong>Anna Auld<\/strong> is in the A final in fifth, with <strong>Julia Podkoscielny<\/strong> seventh. Second was Florida\u2019s <strong>Giovanni Linscheer<\/strong> in 3:40.63, while 500 free champ <strong>Jake Magahey<\/strong> is third in 3:41.59. All eyes will be on 200 IM champ <strong>Baylor Nelson<\/strong>, though, the Texas A&amp;M sophomore fourth in 3:41.65.<\/p>\n<p>Florida has two A finalists, with <strong>Mason Laur<\/strong> sixth. Lee went 51.24 in prelims. That was .14 ahead of Florida\u2019s <strong>Olivia Peoples,<\/strong> who entered the top seed at 51.59. The only other 51 in the field, Texas A&amp;M\u2019s <strong>Olivia Theall,<\/strong> finished ninth.<\/p>\n<p>South Carolina\u2019s <strong>Greta Pelzek<\/strong> was third in prelims at 51.93, teammate <strong>Nicholle Toh<\/strong> joining her in sixth. That\u2019s four-tenths up on Texas A&amp;Ms <strong>Chloe Stepanek.<\/strong> <strong>Bella Sims,<\/strong> who set the meet record off the front of the 200 free relay, opted out of the individual race. The Florida sprinter went 1:31.40 in prelims. He\u2019ll have another fast man, Tennessee\u2019s <strong>Jordan Crooks,<\/strong> on his tail in finals after the 50 free champ went 1:31.45. At the other extreme is <strong>Charlie Hawke<\/strong> of Alabama, who went 1:31.47. Hawke holds the fastest time this season at 1:31.30.<\/p>\n<p>Florida\u2019s <strong>Jake Mitchell<\/strong> is the fourth seed, where he\u2019ll also be flying the distance flag.
