The U.S. shot 72 percent (21-for-29) and was 4-for-4 on both power plays and fastbreak attempts.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/total-waterpolo.com\/world-championships-doha-2024-women\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Total Water Polo: World Championship Water Polo Women\u2019s Tournament Hub<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/how-to-watch-2024-world-aquatics-championships-to-be-covered-live-on-peacock\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">How to Watch: 2024 World Aquatics Championships to be Covered Live on Peacock<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Maddie Musselman<\/strong> and <strong>Jovana Sekulic<\/strong> were 3-for-3 shooting each. <strong>Tara Prentice<\/strong> added a hat trick, and <strong>Jenna Flynn<\/strong> and <strong>Kaleigh Gilchrist<\/strong> scored twice each.<\/p>\n<p>The U.S. wraps up group play on Thursday with Kazakhstan, whom the Dutch rebounded to wallop 27-4. The Dutch shot 76 percent on action shots (19-for-25) in venting their frustrations behind seven <strong>Kitty-Lynn Joustra<\/strong> goals. <strong>Vivian Sevenich<\/strong> and <strong>Maartje Keuning<\/strong> scored four goals each, with eight players scoring multiple goals.<\/p>\n<p>Spain turned what was on paper the day\u2019s best game into a 16-8 rout of Greece courtesy of four goals from <strong>Bea Ortiz<\/strong> and nine saves from <strong>Martina Terre.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The day\u2019s actual thriller came early, China pulling a shootout surprise to beat France, 11-10. It was an offensive struggle, neither team shooting better than 31 percent. Only <strong>Jing Zhang,<\/strong> who supplied seven goals, could score with any consistency. <strong>Yiwen Lu<\/strong> (two goals) won it in the seventh round of penalties.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Jiaqi Zhang<\/strong> made 12 saves for China. France\u2019s <strong>Mia Rycraw<\/strong> stopped 16. <strong>Camelia Bouloukbachi<\/strong> led France with three goals, but required 14 shots to toil there.<\/p>\n<p>Australia claimed an Oceania battle over New Zealand, 13-6, behind a 7-2 margin in the second half. <strong>Alice Williams<\/strong> buried four goals, and <strong>Gabriella Palm<\/strong> stopped 10 shots.<\/p>\n<p>Canada brought Great Britain\u2019s good recent form to a screeching halt in a 20-5 decision. <strong>Elyse Lemay-Lavoie<\/strong> led seven multi-goal scorers with four markers. <strong>Shae la Roche<\/strong> tallied a hat trick.<\/p>\n<p>Italy routed South Africa, 25-3, thanks to five goals from <strong>Sofia Giustini<\/strong> and four each form <strong>Roberta Bianconi<\/strong> and <strong>Claudia Marletta.<\/strong> Hungary swam all over Singapore, 39-2, with <strong>Natasa Rybanska<\/strong> scoring seven goals and <strong>Greta Gurisatti<\/strong> added six, both on perfect
