NC State Wins Every Event Against UNC-Wilmington on Senior Day<\/strong><\/p>\n

The North Carolina State swimming and diving teams wrapped up their dual-meet campaign with a dominant home performance against UNC-Wilmington, a team led by former Wolfpack assistant coach Bobby Guntoro<\/strong>. NC State won every event contested while winning 181-89 on the women’s side and 172-104 among the men. And as the Wolfpack honored senior swimmers and divers, four of them set NC State pool records.<\/p>\n

In\u00a0Katharine Berkoff’s<\/strong> final home meet after five seasons with the college program, she set a pool mark of 1:50.94 to win the 200 backstroke, and on the men’s side,\u00a0Noah Bowers<\/strong> clocked 1:41.26 in the 200 butterfly, and Noah Henderson<\/strong> put up a mark of 19.13 in the 50 freestyle. Finally,\u00a0Conall Monahan<\/strong> swam a time of 1:55.54 in the 200 breaststroke to beat a pool record set by a three-time NCAA champion in the event,\u00a0Will Licon<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

In other results for the NC State women,\u00a0Yara Nierath<\/strong> placed first in the 200 free (1:48.99) and 200 IM (2:01.37) while\u00a0Abby Arens\u00a0<\/strong>was victorious in the 50 free (22.31) and 200 breast (2:11.31).\u00a0Abby Pilkenton<\/strong> led the way in the 100 back (54.51) before Aubree Brouwer<\/strong> topped the 100 breast (1:01.73) and\u00a0Grace Sheble<\/strong> won the 200 fly (1:57.31).\u00a0Katherine Helms<\/strong> was first in the 100 free (49.36), and\u00a0Emma Hastings<\/strong> swam a swift time of 4:41.51 to win the 500 free.<\/p>\n

Keelan Cotter<\/strong> won the 100 fly (53.41) while diving wins went to\u00a0Helene Synnott<\/strong> on 1-meter (303.75) and 3-meter (320.78). The team of\u00a0Miriam Sheehan<\/strong>, Arens, Tyler Driscoll<\/strong> and Meghan Donald<\/strong> won the 200 medley relay (1:36.99), and the meet concluded with\u00a0Annabel Crush<\/strong>,\u00a0Casaundra Moses<\/strong>, Driscoll and Sheehan winning the 200 free relay (1:30.53).<\/p>\n
