The fourth-ranked men top No. 16 Florida State, 181-119.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/floridagators.com\/documents\/2024\/1\/26\/UF_vs._FSU_012624_Complete_Meet_Results.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Meet Results<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/meet\/acc-swimming\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">ACC Swimming<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/meet\/sec-swimming\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">SEC Swimming<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Isabel Ivey<\/strong> led Florida\u2019s efforts on the women\u2019s side. Ivey won the 100 backstroke in 52.50 seconds, a 1-2 finish with teammate <strong>Catherine Choate.<\/strong> Ivey then won the 100 freestyle in 48.69 seconds, then claimed the 200 individual medley in 1:57.32. For good measure, she contributed a leg on the 200 free relay victory.<\/p>\n<p>The 100 free was a momentum changer, Ivey leading <strong>Micayla Cronk<\/strong> and <strong>Ekaterina Nikonova<\/strong> in a 1-2-3 result.<\/p>\n<p>The meet started in fantastic fashion with Florida winning the 200 medley relay by .01 seconds. Choate, <strong>Molly Mayne, Olivia Peoples<\/strong> and Cronk went 1:37.77, Cronk rallying for the win in 22.04 seconds off the end to recoup a half-second deficit. Cronk won the 50 free in 22.79.<\/p>\n<p>The Gators\u2019 distance contingent started strong. <strong>Emma Weyant<\/strong> won the 1,000 free in 9:38.64, with <strong>Bella Sims<\/strong> second. Sims turned around to win the 200 free in 1:47.06, with Weyant second. Weyant added a third-place finish in the 200 back. Sims teamed with Ivey, Nikonova and Cronk for a 1:31.04 winning time in the 200 free relay.<\/p>\n<p>Choate added a win in the 200 back in 1:55.63. Peoples claimed the 100 fly in 52.59. <strong>Camyla Monroy<\/strong> swept diving golds, scoring 345.00 on 3-meter and 302.45 on 1-meter, the latter a 1-2 result with <strong>Carina Lumia.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Breaststroke was the source of many of Florida State\u2019s points. <strong>Maddy Huggins<\/strong> won the 100 breast in 1:00.46 with <strong>Julia Mansson<\/strong> third. Mansson turned it around in the 200, with a 2:13.28 that edged Huggins by .17 seconds. <strong>Edith Jernstedt<\/strong> won the 200 fly in 1:56.25 ahead of teammate <strong>Sophie Freeman<\/strong> and was second in the 200 IM. <strong>Maysa Ratiu<\/strong> won the 500 free in 4:52.12 after having finished second in the 200 free.<\/p>\n<p>Seven different Gators won individual races, plus two divers in a sweep on the boards. The big blow came in the 100 back, with <strong>Cam Abaqueta<\/strong> winning in 47.43, followed by <strong>Adam Chaney\u2019s<\/strong> 47.48 and <strong>Caleb Madari\u2019s<\/strong> 47.50. Madari would win the 200 back. Chaney led off the winning 200 free relay.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Aryan Nehra<\/strong> (1,000 free), <strong>Jake Mitchell<\/strong> (200 free), <strong>Mason Laur<\/strong> (200 fly), <strong>Andrew Taylor<\/strong> (500 free) and <strong>Scotty Buff<\/strong> (100 fly) comprised the parade of winners. <strong>Peyton Donald<\/strong> scored 373.75 to roll to victory on 1-meter diving, and <strong>Conor Gesing\u2019s<\/strong> 391.60 on 3-meter was just enough to edge Florida State\u2019s <strong>Darwin Nolasco<\/strong> by just a point, Nolasco second in both.<\/p>\n<p>Florida State had the speed if not the depth.
