NC State\u2019s No. 3 men\u2019s team beat ninth-ranked Texas, 130-92.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/meet\/big-12-swimming\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Big 12 Swimming News<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/meet\/acc-swimming\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">ACC Swimming News<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Texas\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/texassports.com\/news\/2024\/1\/26\/mens-swimming-and-diving-no-2-womens-swim-and-dive-defeats-no-10-nc-state-130-68.aspx\">women\u2019s team<\/a> had the largest share of the records with seven. It included all three relays. <strong>Emma Kern, Lydia Jacoby, Olivia Bray<\/strong> and <strong>Ava Longi<\/strong> went 1:34.24 to win the 200 medley. <strong>Grace Cooper, Emma Sticklen,<\/strong> Longi and <strong>Emma Davidson<\/strong> captured the 200 free relay in 1:27.65. <strong>Kelly Pash,<\/strong> Longi, Davidson and <strong>Erin Gemmell<\/strong> went 3:12.22 to win the 400 free relay.<\/p>\n<p>Pash took down two records, going 1:42.88 to win the 200 free and 1:54.47 to win the 200 individual medley. Sticklen won the 100 butterfly in 50.39, a Wills R. Casey Aquatic Center best time. <strong>Anna Elendt<\/strong> went 57.51 in the 100 breast, the third fastest time in the nation in that event.<\/p>\n<p>Gemmell won the 500 free, with <strong>Erica Sullivan<\/strong> second, while Gemmell was second to Pash in the 200 free. Elendt, Jacoby (58.15) and <strong>Channing Hanley<\/strong> went 1-2-3 in the 100 breast.<\/p>\n<p>NC State\u2019s best swim on the women\u2019s side was a doozy, <strong>Katharine Berkoff<\/strong> going 49.82 to set her home pool record in the 100 backstroke. That\u2019s the second fastest dual meet swim ever, trailing only <strong>Gretchen Walsh<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>The NC State <a href=\"https:\/\/gopack.com\/news\/2024\/1\/26\/swimming-pool-records-fall-as-wolfpack-splits-dual-meet-with-texas\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">men dominated from the start<\/a>. <strong>Aiden Hayes, Sam Hoover, Luke Miller and Quentin McCarty<\/strong> went 1:23.04 in the 200 medley relay to set a pool record. They did the same in the 200 free relay, with <strong>Noah Henderson,<\/strong> McCarthy (with an 18.68 split), <strong>Drew Salls<\/strong> and <strong>Jerry Fox<\/strong> going 1:16.23. McCarty, Fox, Miller and Hoover capped it with a 2:48.24 time in the 400 free relay.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Kacper Stokowski<\/strong> took possession of the 100 back pool record by winning in 44.37. <strong>Daniel Diehl<\/strong> put his name on the record board for the first of what could prove to be many times by going 1:43.11 in the 200 IM. <strong>Lance Norris<\/strong> blitzed the 1,650 free with a time of 14:48.34, a pool mark.<\/p>\n<p>Stokowski was also second in the 200 free. Miller and <strong>Noah Bowers<\/strong> went 1-2 in the 100 fly. <strong>Ross Dant<\/strong> won the 500 free.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/texassports.com\/news\/2024\/1\/26\/mens-swimming-and-diving-no-9-mens-swim-and-dive-falls-at-no-3-nc-state-130-92.aspx\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Texas\u2019s men<\/a> went home with a pair of pool marks. <strong>Luke Hobson<\/strong> went 1:31.88 to win the 200 free, his best of the season and a pool record. <strong>Jake Foster<\/strong> went 51.33 in the 100 breast to set a record.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Will Scholtz<\/strong> was second to Foster in the 100 breast. <strong>Nate Germonprez<\/strong> was the runner-up in the 200 IM, while Hobson was second in the 500 free and <strong>Will Modglin<\/strong> was second in the 100 back.<\/p>\n<p>Texas dominated diving on both sides. <strong>Bridget O\u2019<\/strong>Neil scored 342.98 points to win 1-meter on the women\u2019s side and 354.23 to capture 3-meter.
