The Badgers picked up all 14 event wins to finish the meet with a 218-76 victory over Green Bay.<\/p>\n<p>Senior and team captain <strong>Phoebe Bacon<\/strong> started the meet off strong with a win in the 200 free with a time of 1:47.82. Bacon was followed by<strong> Abby Wanezek<\/strong> in second place with a 1:50.35, with <strong>Emily Ecker<\/strong> trailing in third with a 1:51.48.<\/p>\n<p>Wanezek earned her first individual event win of the season in the 200 back, hitting the wall first in 2:03.51. Junior and team captain <strong>Mackenzie McConagha<\/strong> led the Badger sweep in the 100 backstroke, touching the wall first in 51.46. <strong>Kaylyn Schoof<\/strong> followed in second with a 54.68, and <strong>Kit Schneider<\/strong> snuck into third with a 56.75.<\/p>\n<p>Sophomore <strong>Hazal Ozkan<\/strong> earned two individual event wins on Friday night. Ozkan won the 200 IM in 1:59.51, with <strong>Katie McClintock<\/strong> not far behind her in second with a time of 2:00.38. She also won the 100 free with a season-best time of 50.97.<\/p>\n<p>The 22nd-ranked Wisconsin men&#8217;s swimming and diving team (5-1, 3-0 BIG) wrapped up the home portion of its schedule with a dual meet win over Green Bay on Friday at the Soderholm Family Aquatic Center. The Badgers picked up 14 event wins to finish the meet with a 178-97 victory over the Phoenix.<\/p>\n<p>Freshman<strong> Luukas Vainio<\/strong> continues to shine in the long-distance freestyle, starting the Badgers off strong with a win in the 1000 free with a season-best time of 9:04.53. <strong>Charlie Jones<\/strong> kept up the long-distance freestyle momentum with a win in the 500 free with a time of 4:23.19.<strong> Nico Butera<\/strong> placed second with a time of 4:34.84.<\/p>\n<p>Senior<strong> Jake Newmark<\/strong> picked up a couple of individual event wins on Friday, including the 100 free in 45.38. Newmark also hit the wall first in the 200 free, with a time of 1:37.95. <strong>Jude Williams<\/strong> followed him, placing second with a time of 1:39.48.<\/p>\n<p>Sophomore <strong>Dominik Mark Torok<\/strong> continues to dominate in the 100 fly, earning another first-place finish against the Phoenix.
