Marchand&#8217;s time was the third-fastest in the NCAA this season.<\/p>\n<p>The 200 breaststroke was not nearly as close. Marchand won in 1:51.71, well ahead of teammate <strong>David Schlicht<\/strong> (1:53.56). Marchand&#8217;s time was the fifth-fastest of the season in the NCAA.<\/p>\n<p>Marchand also dominated the 200 IM with a win in 1:38.78, which was the fastest time in the NCAA this season to cap his meet in stellar fashion.<\/p>\n<p>In another individual showdown, Stanford&#8217;s <strong>Andrei Minakov<\/strong> won the 100 butterfly in 44.16, just ahead of Arizona State freshman<strong> Ilya Kharun<\/strong> (44.72).<\/p>\n<p>Kharun won the 200 butterfly in 1:37.93, the fastest time in the NCAA this year and on the doorstep of the NCAA record set by <strong>Jack Conger<\/strong> (1:37.35). Only four men have been sub-1:38 in the 200 fly, with Kharun eyeing the record as the season moves into its closing stages.<\/p>\n<p>In the men&#8217;s meet, Arizona State&#8217;s <strong>Hubert Kos<\/strong>, Marchand, Kharun and <strong>Jonny Kulow<\/strong> won the 200 medley relay in 1:22.24, which was the second-fastest time this year, behind their own 1:21.85 at the NC State Midseason Invitational.<\/p>\n<p>Kos won the 100 backstroke in 45.28 and 200 back in 1:38.96.\u00a0 Kulow claimed the 50 free in 19.19 and 100 free in 42.44.<\/p>\n<p>Arizona State&#8217;s <strong>Zalan Sarkany<\/strong> won the 1000 freestyle (8:38.13) and 500 free (4:13.95).<\/p>\n<p>Stanford&#8217;s<strong> Henry McFadden<\/strong> won the 200 free (1:32.88). <strong>Jack Ryan<\/strong> won 1-meter diving with 388.43 points and <strong>Hunter Hollenbeck<\/strong> won 3-meter (393.68).<\/p>\n<p>Stanford&#8217;s <strong>Rafael Gu, Jonathan Tan, Andres Dupont Cabrer<\/strong>a and Minakov won the 400 free relay in 2:49.15.<\/p>\n<p>In the women&#8217;s meet, Stanford&#8217;s <strong>Natalie Mannion, Lucy Thomas, Lillie Nordmann<\/strong> and <strong>Amy<\/strong> <strong>Tang<\/strong> won the 200 medley relay in 1:36.58.<\/p>\n<p>Mannion won the 100 backstroke in 52.76 and 200 back in 1:53.86. Thomas won the 100 breaststroke (58.93). Tang claimed the 50 free in 22.33 and 100 free in 48.57.<\/p>\n<p>Stanford&#8217;s <strong>Aurora Roghair<\/strong> won the 1000 free (9:29.24) and 500 free (4:39.94). <strong>Kayla Wilson<\/strong> won the 200 free (1:43.64). <strong>Caroline Bricker<\/strong> won the 200 breaststroke in 2:08.26. <strong>Gigi Johnson<\/strong> won the 100 butterfly (52.42). <strong>Lucy Bell<\/strong> won the 200 IM in 1:55.67.<\/p>\n<p>Stanford&#8217;s <strong>Emilie Moore<\/strong> won 3-meter diving with 299.55 points. <strong>Lauren Burch<\/strong> won 3-meter with 298.43.<\/p>\n<p>Tang, Wilson, Thomas and <strong>Janelle Rudolph<\/strong> won the 400 free relay in 3:15.34.<\/p>\n<p>Arizona State&#8217;s<strong> Lindsay Looney<\/strong> won the 200 butterfly in 1:52.61.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/category\/college\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">More College News<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Arizona State men defeated Stanford in a Pac-12 showdown on Friday, 156.5-115.5 The Stanford women won 191.5-98.5.
