Purdue won a women\u2019s tri-meet, with a Big Ten result over Illinois, 208-92, and edging Missouri, 160-140. Missouri scored a 195-105 decision over Illinois.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/meet\/big-ten-swimming\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Big Ten Swimming<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/meet\/sec-swimming\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">SEC Swimming<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/purduesports.com\/documents\/2024\/1\/13\/pur_v_ill_v_miz_2024_results.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Meet Results<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Will Goodwin<\/strong> won the 200 IM in 1:50.57, just .09 seconds ahead of <strong>Jan Zubik. Matthew Mortenson<\/strong> also broke 1:51 to make a 1-2-3 finish.<\/p>\n<p>A surge by <strong>Darden Tate<\/strong> on the third leg of the 400 free relay was solidified by <strong>Jaden Pospishil\u2019s<\/strong> strong anchor leg for the Tigers to win in 2:58.78, seven tenths up on Purdue\u2019s A squad. <strong>Grant Bochenski<\/strong> and <strong>Samuel Brown<\/strong> were the front half of that relay.<\/p>\n<p>Bochenski also led off the Tiger\u2019s winning 200 medley relay. He won the 100 backstroke in 48.46. Zubik swept the fly events, the 200 in 1:45.84 (a 1-2 with <strong>Matthew Ross<\/strong>) and the 100 in 48.08 (leading Pospishil to the wall). <strong>Matthew Stephenson<\/strong> won the 1,000 free and 500 free for Missouri.<\/p>\n<p>Purdue\u2019s lead was predicated in part on a 1-2-3 result in the 50 free. <strong>Brady Samuels<\/strong> won in 20.37, followed by <strong>Jude Wenker<\/strong> and <strong>Nathaniel Thomas.<\/strong> Samuels also won the 100 free, with Bochenski second.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Andy Kelly<\/strong> won the 200 free and was second to teammate <strong>Dylan Burau<\/strong> in the 200 back. Burau was also second in the 100 back.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Coleman Modglin<\/strong> swept the breaststroke events, clocking in at 55.09 in the 100. Purdue on both diving events. <strong>Holden Higbie<\/strong> scored 409.00 points on 3-meter to get the better of Missouri\u2019s <strong>Collier Dyer. Jordan Rzepka<\/strong> scored 377.60 on 1-meter to edge Higbie by 1.4 points and cue a 1-2-3 sweep for the Boilermakers.<\/p>\n<p>The women\u2019s meet between Missouri and Purdue was plenty tight, too. <strong>Caitlin Hurley<\/strong> led <strong>Reagan Mattice<\/strong> in a 1-2 finish in the 1,000 free, then returned to finished second in the 200 free on event later. Hurley\u2019s time of 4:55.26 won the 500 late in the meet, with Mattice third.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Maggie Love<\/strong> won the 50 free in 23.22 seconds. She was second in the 100 breast and 200 IM. <strong>Abby Marcukaitis<\/strong> won the 100 back in 55.23 ahead of <strong>Abbie Kehmeier.<\/strong> Marcukaitis was third in the 200 back, a spot behind Kehmeier. <strong>Sofia McAfee<\/strong> swept the diving events, the 3-meter result a 1-2 result with <strong>Jenna Sonnenberg.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Missouri applied late pressure in the 100 fly, with <strong>Ashley Gill<\/strong> second and <strong>Taylor Williams<\/strong> third. Gill led off the Tigers\u2019 winning 200 medley. Williams was on that, then anchored the 400 free relay. She also won the 100 fly.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Lina Bank<\/strong> swam breaststroke on the medley relay win. She won the 100 breast in 1:02.83 and the 200 in 2:17.88. <strong>Zara Zallen<\/strong> won the 100 free, and <strong>Colleen Duffy<\/strong> was quickest in the 200 back.<\/p>\n<p>Illinois\u2019s <strong>Sydney Stoll<\/strong> won three events for the Illini. She went 1:50.11 to win the 200 free, 54.84 to capture the 100 fly and 2:02.13 to edge Love in the 200 IM. <strong>Lily Olson<\/strong> was second in the 50 free and in the 100
