The women prevailed, 247-53.<\/p>\n<p>Marchand went 1:32.64 in the 200 free to win the 200 free, edging teammate <strong>Hubert Kos<\/strong> by just short of a second. He clocked in at 53.02 in the 100 breast, just ahead of <strong>John Heaphy\u2019s<\/strong> 53.23 and the 53.27 of <strong>Andy Dobrzanski.<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/meet\/pac-12-swimming\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Pac-12 Swimming News<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/thesundevils.com\/documents\/2024\/1\/6\/results_asu_-_gcu_all_79_.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Meet Results<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The French Olympian led off the Sun Devils\u2019 A 400 free relay with a time of 42.39. He suffered a rare defeat in the 200 medley relay, the junior splitting 23.16 in breaststroke as his B relay fell to ASU\u2019s nominal C relay (Kos, Dobrzanski, <strong>Owen McDonald, Jonny Kulow<\/strong>).<\/p>\n<p>McDonald won the 200 butterfly and 200 individual medley. <strong>Zalan Sarkany<\/strong> did the distance double. His mile time of 14:28.09 trounced his school record of 14:41.65 from Pac-12s last year. <strong>Jack Wadsworth<\/strong> won the 100 back over Kos.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Jack Dolan<\/strong> picked up a win for the senior class by besting <strong>Ilya Kharun<\/strong> in the 100 free. Kharun had topped <strong>Cam Peel<\/strong> in the 50. Kulow won the 100 fly ahead of <strong>Alex Colson.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The Arizona State women celebrated Senior Day with three vets getting wins.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Katrina Marty<\/strong> led off the winning 200 medley relay. She was second to teammate <strong>Ieva Maluka<\/strong> in the 100 back, Maluka having anchored the 200 medley relay. Third in the 100 back was senior <strong>Athena Clayson,<\/strong> who went 1:58.38 to win the 200 back.<\/p>\n<p>Also on the medley relay was senior <strong>Lindsay Looney.<\/strong> She won the 200 fly (1:54.21) and 100 fly (53.10), with classmate <strong>Jade Foelske<\/strong> second both times.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Erin Milligan<\/strong> won the 200 free (1:46.61), the 50 free (22.87) and the 100 free (49.30), the latter a spot up on Maluka. <strong>Deniz Ertan<\/strong> completed the freestyle sweep by winning the 500 and 1,650. <strong>Zoe Summar<\/strong> won the 100 breast and finished second to teammate <strong>Emma Gehlert<\/strong> in the 200 breast. <strong>Sonia Vaishnani<\/strong> prevailed in the 200 IM, and <strong>Kayden Hayes<\/strong> was the top scorer in both diving events.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Sam Jennings<\/strong> and <strong>Jonathon Rom<\/strong> got Grand Canyon\u2019s only wins on the day. Jennings went 1:45.55 to beat Wadsworth in the men\u2019s 200 back. He had been third in the 100 back.
