I would like to thank Coach Stefanie and her staff for providing me this life-changing opportunity. I would also like to thank God for blessing me with this opportunity. A huge thank you to my wonderful, family, teammates, friends, and everyone else who has provided endless support. Lastly, I would like to thank Coach Chris Davis Sr. , Chris Davis Jr., Scot Davis, Willie Hildebrand, Eric Rovie, Jack Gayle, Kathy Ruffing, and all of the other coaches who have helped me achieve this lifelong dream of mine. I am so excited to be a Dawg, \u2018Sic \u2018Em!!&#8221;<\/strong><\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/blockquote>\n<div>Primarily a backstroker, Dopson does her club swimming with SwimAtlanta and most recently competed at Juniors East after two top-10 finishes at Georgia Seniors. She raced to 10th and 11th place, respectively, in the 100m and 200m backstroke events at Ocala Futures this past summer.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>Her best times include:<\/div>\n<ul>\n<li>100 back &#8211; 54.30<\/li>\n<li>200 back &#8211; 2:00.28<\/li>\n<li>100 free &#8211; 51.22<\/li>\n<li>200 free &#8211; 1:51.89<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Currently a junior at Brookwood High School, Dopson placed second in the 100 back and third in the 100 free at the 2023 Georgia 7A State Championships.
