The competition is scheduled for February 3-8,\u00a0at Old Doha Port.<u><\/u><u><\/u><\/p>\n<p><b>Katie Grimes (Las Vegas, Nev.\/Sandpipers of Nevada)\u00a0<\/b>highlights the team of three men and two women. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/the-process-and-psyche-carrying-katie-grimes-to-international-medals\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Grimes<\/a> was the first American athlete across all sports to qualify for the 2024 Paris Olympics after a bronze medal finish in the 10K at the 2023 World Aquatics Open Water Championships. This will be Chitwood\u2019s second head coaching appointment after leading the Open Water team at the 2022 World Aquatics Championships in Budapest, Hungary. He was also an assistant coach at the 2023 World Aquatics Championships in Fukuoka, Japan, and has coached the Open Water teams at numerous Open Water World Cup competitions.<u><\/u><u><\/u><\/p>\n<p><strong>Mohammad Khadembashi<\/strong> will serve as the assistant coach. Khadembashi is the Executive Director and Head Coach at TSM Aquatics and has been with the program since 2015.
