{"id":574820,"date":"2023-12-13T10:36:27","date_gmt":"2023-12-13T17:36:27","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/?p=574820"},"modified":"2023-12-13T14:45:11","modified_gmt":"2023-12-13T21:45:11","slug":"chinese-championships-day-4-chen-luying-edges-zhang-yufei-in-epic-200-fly","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/chinese-championships-day-4-chen-luying-edges-zhang-yufei-in-epic-200-fly\/","title":{"rendered":"Chinese Championships Day 4: Chen Luying Edges Zhang Yufei in 200 Fly"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><em><strong>Chinese Championships Day 4: Chen Luying Edges Zhang Yufei in Epic 200 Fly<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<p>The Chinese Swimming Championships continued with the Day 4 finals and some exciting performances.<\/p>\n<p>The women&#8217;s 200 butterfly saw one of the most exciting races of the entire meet.<\/p>\n<p>Claiming gold was<strong> Chen Luying<\/strong>, who got to the wall in 2:08.36, just two hundredths of as second ahead of Olympic gold medalist <strong>Zhang Yufei<\/strong> (2:08.38). <strong>Yu Liyan<\/strong> took the bronze in 2:09.06, while <strong>Li Bingjie<\/strong> took fifth in 2:09.79.<\/p>\n<p>The session began with the women&#8217;s 50 backstroke. <strong>Wan Letian<\/strong> won the gold medal with a swim of 27.95. <strong>Chen Jie<\/strong> took the silver at 28.18 and <strong>Yu Yiting<\/strong> claimed the bronze at 28.46.<\/p>\n<p>In the men&#8217;s 100 free, <strong>Pan Zhanle<\/strong> earned the gold medal with a time of 47.60. <strong>Ji Xinjie<\/strong> got to the wall in 48.26 for the silver medal, while <strong>Wang Haoyu<\/strong> took the bronze in 48.31, holding off <strong>Chen Juner<\/strong> (48.52).<\/p>\n<p>The men&#8217;s 200 IM saw <strong>Zhao Liangzhou<\/strong> earn the gold medal with a performance of 2:01.66. <strong>Huang Zhiwei<\/strong> claimed the silver medal in 2:01.80 and <strong>Deng Ziqi<\/strong> took the bronze in 2:02.33. <strong>Wang Shun<\/strong> scratched the event.<\/p>\n<p>In the men&#8217;s 1500 free at the Chinese championships, <strong>Fei Liwei<\/strong> won the race in 14:57.47 to earn gold. <strong>Zhang Zhanshuo<\/strong> was second in 15:03.97 to earn the silver, while the bronze went to <strong>Zhao Heting<\/strong>, who finished in 15:18.59.<\/p>\n<p>The Chinese National Team won the mixed medley relay in 3:42.34 behind <strong>Xu Jiayu<\/strong> (52.94), <strong>Qin Haiyang<\/strong> (58.23),<strong> Zhang Yufei<\/strong> (58.04) and <strong>Yang Junxuan<\/strong> (53.13).<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/zhang-yufei-qin-haiyang-look-sharp-at-chinese-champs-qualify-for-world-titles-in-doha\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Day One Recap<\/a><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/xu-jiayu-zhang-yufei-add-titles-at-chinese-championships\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Day Two Recap<\/a><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/qin-haiyang-scares-asian-record-in-50-breaststroke-at-chinese-championships\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Day Three Recap<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Chinese Championships Day 4: Chen Luying Edges Zhang Yufei in Epic 200 Fly The Chinese Swimming Championships continued with the Day 4 finals and some exciting performances.
