National Junior Teamer Lilla Bognar Pledges 2025 Verbal to Florida<\/strong><\/p>\n

NEW COMMIT:\u00a0<\/strong>The University of Florida has landed a big verbal commitment for Fall 2025 from Olympic Trials qualifier\u00a0Lilla Bognar <\/strong>of Travelers Rest, South Carolina.<\/p>\n

She will join\u00a0Grace Raab<\/a>\u00a0<\/strong>and Lynsey Bowen<\/a>\u00a0<\/strong>in Gainesville as a member of the Gators\u2019 Class of 2029.<\/p>\n

Regarding her commitment, she said:<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m so excited to announce my verbal commitment to further my athletic and academic career at the University of Florida! I\u2019d like to thank my family, coaches, friends and teammates for helping me reach this point. I can\u2019t wait to swim with my best friends. GO GATORS!”<\/strong><\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

A member of the U.S. National Junior Team, Bognar placed fourth in the 400m IM at the FINA World Junior Championships back in September. She also placed fourth at Phillips 66 Nationals this past summer.<\/p>\n

In December 2022, she was the Juniors East champion in the 400 IM, also placing second in that event at the NCSA Spring Championships.<\/p>\n

She trains year-round with Team Greenville and owns the fastest 400 IM time in her class.<\/p>\n
