Of that total, 16 of the medals were of the individual variety.<\/p>\n<p>In this edition of Friday FunDay, we are challenging our readers to name the events in which Phelps earned his 16 solo Olympic medals. Here&#8217;s a hint: At the 2004 and 2008 Games, he won medals in five individual events.
