LSU was second with 991.5, followed by Utah (755.5), Air Force (450) and Rockhurst (13).<\/p>\n<p>Texas A&amp;M also won the women&#8217;s meet with 1,124.5 points. UCLA was second with 784, followed by LSU (686), Houston (376), San Diego State (365.5), Washington State (352) and Utah (342).<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/category\/college\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">More College News<\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>Women&#8217;s 200 Backstroke<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>San Diego State&#8217;s <strong>Alex Roberts<\/strong> won the women&#8217;s 200 back to open the final night in College Station. The senior touched the wall in 1:53.45.<\/p>\n<p>Texas A&amp;M&#8217;s <strong>Aviv Barzelay<\/strong> took second in 1:54.61.<\/p>\n<p>UCLA&#8217;s <strong>Rosie Murphy<\/strong> took third in 1:55.78.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Men&#8217;s 200 Backstroke<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Texas A&amp;M&#8217;s <strong>Baylor Nelson<\/strong> won the men&#8217;s 200 back by more than a second to earn the victory for the Aggies. The sophomore got to the wall in 1:41.82.<\/p>\n<p>Utah&#8217;s <strong>Brandon Miller<\/strong> finished second in 1:42.74.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Tomas Shomper<\/strong> took third in 1:43.00 for the Aggies.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Women&#8217;s 100 Freestyle<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Texas A&amp;M&#8217;s <strong>Chloe Stepanek<\/strong> continued her stellar meet by winning the 100 free. The senior touched in 48.03 to take first.<\/p>\n<p>LSU&#8217;s <strong>Megan Barnes<\/strong> was second in 48.56. UCLA&#8217;s <strong>Brooke Schaffer<\/strong> finished third, getting to the wall in 48.93.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Men&#8217;s 100 Free<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Texas A&amp;M sophomore <strong>Connor Foote<\/strong> claimed the victory in the 100 free on the men&#8217;s side, finishing in 42.70 to hold off the field.<\/p>\n<p>LSU&#8217;s <strong>Jere Hribar<\/strong> finished second in 42.97, leading a 2-3-4 Tiger finish with <strong>Andrew Garon<\/strong> (44.01) and <strong>Pawel Uryniuk<\/strong> (44.02).<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Women&#8217;s 200 Breaststroke<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Washington State&#8217;s <strong>Emily Lundgren<\/strong> won the 200 breaststroke in a &#8220;B&#8221; cut time of 2:08.37.<\/p>\n<p>UCLA&#8217;s <strong>Ana Jih-Schiff<\/strong> took second with a time of 2:12.38.<\/p>\n<p>Texas A&amp;M&#8217;s <strong>Giulia Goerigk<\/strong> finished third in 2:12.48.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Men&#8217;s 200 Breaststroke<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Texas A&amp;M went 1-2 in the 200 breaststroke with <strong>Alex Sanchez<\/strong> winning in 1:51.13 and <strong>Logan Brown<\/strong> finishing just behind in 1:53.15.<\/p>\n<p>Utah&#8217;s <strong>Jaek Horner<\/strong> finished in third place with a swim of 1:53.37.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Women&#8217;s 200 Butterfly<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Olivia Theall<\/strong> gave the Aggies another win with a 1:55.15 performance in the 200 butterfly.<\/p>\n<p>LSU&#8217;s <strong>Sofia Sartori<\/strong> was second in 1:55.24, while A&amp;M&#8217;s<strong> Katie Walker <\/strong>took third in 1:55.47.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Men&#8217;s 200 Butterfly<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Texas A&amp;M earned another win with <strong>Clayton Conklin<\/strong> throwing down a 1:43.30 in the men&#8217;s 200 butterfly for the victory.<\/p>\n<p>Utah&#8217;s <strong>Evan VanBrocklin<\/strong> finished second in 1:44.90, going 2-3 with <strong>Jakub Walter<\/strong> (1:45.30).<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Women&#8217;s 400 Free Relay<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>LSU won the final women&#8217;s event of the meet with <strong>Michaele De Villiers, Reagan Osborne, Chloe<\/strong> <strong>Cheng<\/strong> and <strong>Megan Barnes<\/strong> getting to the wall in 3:15.66.<\/p>\n<p>A&amp;M took second behind <strong>Jordan Buechler, Olivia Theall, Bobbi Kennett<\/strong> and <strong>Chloe Stepanek<\/strong>, who finished in 3:15.92.<\/p>\n<p>UCLA took third in 3:16.01 with<strong> Brooke Schaffer, Gizem Guvenc, Sarah Bennett<\/strong>s and<strong> Maya Wilson<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Men&#8217;s 400 Free Relay<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>LSU&#8217;s <strong>Andrew Garon, Jere Hribar, Griffin Curtis<\/strong> and<strong> Pawel Uryniuk<\/strong> won the final race of the night with a 2:52.95.<\/p>\n<p>Utah took second in 2:56.09 with <strong>Jaek Horner, Will Woodall, Matt Dedering<\/strong> and <strong>Davis Stachelek<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>The Aggies were third with <strong>Kraig Bray, Clayton Conklin<\/strong> and <strong>Carter Nelson<\/strong> going 2:57.48.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The 2023 Art Adamson Invitational at Texas A&amp;M concluded with Day 3 from College Station, Texas.
