The Northwestern men lead the hosts, 315.5 to 263.5.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/sidearmstats.com\/purdue\/swimming\/index.htm\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Purdue Invitational Live Results<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/meet\/big-ten-swimming\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Big Ten Swimming<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Purdue started with a win in the 200 free relay, <strong>Hannah Hill, Maggie Love, Kendall Schreder<\/strong> and <strong>Ana Rojas<\/strong> going 1:31.03. Love won the 200 individual medley with a time of 1:59.49, an NCAA B cut, and finished third in the 50 free in 22.87.<\/p>\n<p>Northwestern recovered from the disappointment of landing .32 seconds behind in the opening relay. The Wildcats would coast to victory in the women\u2019s 400 medley relay, with <strong>Ayla Spitz, Maggie Papanicholas, May Peterson<\/strong> and <strong>Lindsay<\/strong> <strong>Ervin<\/strong> going 3:36.62. They won by nearly 2.5 seconds over Purdue.<\/p>\n<p>Spitz booked a B cut in the 500 free, with a time of 4:40.25 that was six seconds ahead of the chasers from Purdue. (<strong>Kate Mouser<\/strong> attained a B cut in 4:46.68, leading teammates <strong>Kate Beavon, Caitlin Hurley<\/strong> and <strong>Reagan Mattice<\/strong> to the wall.) Ervin and <strong>Audrey Yu<\/strong> went 1-2 in the 50 free, Ervin winning in a B cut of 22.62 seconds, .15 up on her teammate.<\/p>\n<p>On the women\u2019s 400 medley relay, Illinois\u2019 <strong>Suvana Baskar<\/strong> set a school record with a 100 backstroke time of 53.90 seconds.<\/p>\n<p>Despite being second in the team standings, Purdue won both of the men\u2019s relays Thursday. <strong>Brady Samuels, Idris Muhammad, Jude Wenker<\/strong> and <strong>Andy Kelly<\/strong> went 1:17.80 in the 200 free relay, nearly a second ahead of the runner-up from Southern Illinois. Samuels, <strong>Andrew Witty, Charlie King<\/strong> and Muhammad went 3:07.00 in the 400 medley to edge out the Wildcats by .16 seconds.<\/p>\n<p>Samuels went 19.49 to win the 50 free, an NCAA B cut, with Muhammad third in 19.67.
