More College News<\/a><\/p>\nWomen’s 200 medley relay<\/strong><\/p>\nTexas A&M claimed the first victory of the night as Miranda Grana, Bobbi Kennett, Olivia Theall<\/strong> and Chloe Stepanek<\/strong> won the 200 medley relay in 1:37.04.<\/p>\nUCLA’s Fay Lustria, Sarah Bennetts, Joanie Cash<\/strong> and Brooke Schaffer<\/strong> took second in 1:37.96.<\/p>\nLSU’s Katarina Milutinovich, Tatum Detwiler, Maddie Howell<\/strong> and Michaela De Villiers<\/strong> took third in 1:38.57.<\/p>\nMen’s 200 medley relay<\/strong><\/p>\nTexas A&M made it a sweep of the medley relay as the men won behind Thomas Shomper, Alex Sanchez, Connor Foote<\/strong> and Baylor Nelson<\/strong>, who finished in 1:23.83.<\/p>\nLSU’s Griffin Curtis, Mitch Mason, Pawel Uryniuk<\/strong> and Jere Hribar<\/strong> took second in 1:25.61.<\/p>\nUtah’s Parker McOmber, Jaek Horner, Jackson Kehler<\/strong> and Davis Stachelek<\/strong> took third in 1:26.78.<\/p>\nWomen’s 400 IM<\/strong><\/p>\nUCLA’s Paige MacEachern<\/strong> put together a strong race to win the 400 IM by nearly two seconds.<\/p>\nThe junior got to the wall in 4:06.15 to claim the victory.<\/p>\n
Texas A&M’s Giulia Goerigk<\/strong> took second in 4:07.91, followed by UCLA’s Rosie Murphy<\/strong> (4:10.67).<\/p>\nMen’s 400 IM<\/strong><\/p>\nTexas A&M’s Baylor Nelson<\/strong> claimed another win, this time in the 400 IM, leading a 1-2-3 sweep.<\/p>\nNelson finished in 3:38.33, followed by Max Vega Cuevas<\/strong> (3:43.19) and Munzy Kabbara<\/strong> (3:46.41).<\/p>\nWomen’s 100 butterfly<\/strong><\/p>\nThe Aggies got another win, this time from senior Olivia Theall<\/strong>. She was the lone swimmer in the field to break 52 seconds and won the race in 51.96.<\/p>\nUCLA’s Aislinn Walsh<\/strong> took second in 52.82, followed by Texas A&M’s Katie Walker<\/strong> (53.19).<\/p>\nMen’s 100 butterfly<\/strong><\/p>\nTexas A&M went 1-2 in the men’s 100 fly as Connor Foote<\/strong> claimed the win in 45.02.<\/p>\nTeammate Clayton Conkin<\/strong> was second in 46.09 as both Aggies finished well ahead of the field.<\/p>\nLSU’s Pawel Uryniuk<\/strong> took third in 47.88.<\/p>\nWomen’s 200 freestyle<\/strong><\/p>\nFour in a row for the Aggies as Chloe Stepanek<\/strong> won the 200 free. The senior finished in 1:43.98, more than a second and a half ahead of the field.<\/p>\nLSU’s Megan Barnes<\/strong> finished second in 1:45.40, ahead of teammate Reagan Osborne<\/strong> (1:46.57).<\/p>\nMen’s 200 freestyle<\/strong><\/p>\nLSU’s Jovan Lekic<\/strong> led a 1-2 sweep for the Tigers. The freshman won the race in 1:35.93. Teammate Andrew Garon<\/strong> was second in 1:26.14.<\/p>\nUtah’s Jakub Walter<\/strong> took third in 1:36.54.<\/p>\nWomen’s 100 breaststroke<\/strong><\/p>\nHouston’s Henrietta Fangli<\/strong> took the win in the 100 breaststroke. She finished in 1:00.03.<\/p>\nTexas A&M senior Bobbi Kennett<\/strong> took second in 1:00.31, ahead of teammate Charlotte<\/strong> Longbottom<\/strong> (1:00.46).<\/p>\nMen’s 100 breaststroke<\/strong><\/p>\nUtah’s Jaek Horner<\/strong> claimed a victory in the men’s 100 breaststroke in a close race.<\/p>\nHorner got to the wall in 51.32 to finish just ahead of Texas A&M’s Alex Sanchez<\/strong>, who touched in 51.37.<\/p>\nAggie teammate Logan Brown<\/strong> took third in 52.14.<\/p>\nWomen’s 100 backstroke<\/strong><\/p>\nTexas A&M went 1-2 with Miranda Grana<\/strong> claiming victory in 51.73, a second and a half ahead of the field.<\/p>\nTeammate Jordan Buechler<\/strong> took second in 53.31, followed by LSU’s Katarina Milutinovich<\/strong> (53.54).<\/p>\nMen’s 100 backstroke<\/strong><\/p>\nAnother 1-2 finish for the Aggies with Thomas Shomper<\/strong> finished first in 46.21. Teammate Tyler<\/strong> Hulet<\/strong> was second in 46.90.<\/p>\nLSU’S Griffin Curtis<\/strong> finished third in 47.27.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n
Women’s 800 free relay<\/strong><\/p>\nThe Aggies won the event behind Jordan Buechler, Abby Grottle, Giulia Goerigk<\/strong> and Chloe<\/strong> Stepanek<\/strong>, winning in 7:05.81.<\/p>\nLSU’s Reagan Osborne, Katarina Milutinovich, Megan Barnes<\/strong> and Chloe Cheng<\/strong> took second in 7:08.63.<\/p>\nUCLA’s Paige MacEachern, Gizem Guvenc, Maya Wilson<\/strong> and Brooke Schaffer<\/strong> took third in 7:09.92.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n
