I am so happy to get the opportunity to swim at such an amazing program with some of the best people I\u2019ve ever met. I would like to thank my coach, Russ Whitaker, who has been such an amazing coach over the years and so helpful throughout this process. I would also like to thank my family, friends and teammates for all of the support over the years. I want to give a special thanks to my sister Taylor for being such an incredible influence and supporter throughout my life. Last, but certainly not least, I want to thank all of the coaches and support staff at Tennessee, for helping me during this process, making it a fun and exciting time and being such great people! GO VOLS&#8221;<\/strong><\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>McCoy, who does his club swimming with Cougar Aquatics, earned 100% best times at Junior Nationals this past summer where he finished 11th in the 400m IM. He was a finalist in the 400 IM at Juniors West last December and was the 200 back champion at Western Zone Seniors a few months later.<\/p>\n<p>His best times include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>200 back \u2013 1:44.58<\/li>\n<li>100 back \u2013 49.04<\/li>\n<li>200 IM \u2013 1:48.98<\/li>\n<li>400 IM \u2013 3:49.33<\/li>\n<li>500 free \u2013 4:29.17<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Currently a junior at Pullman High School, McCoy was crowned the Washington 2A state champion in both the 100 back and 200 IM in 2023. She graduated from the University of Vermont in 2019 with a degree in Public Communication and a double minor in Coaching and Sports Management.
