{"id":572017,"date":"2023-11-04T11:43:16","date_gmt":"2023-11-04T18:43:16","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/?p=572017"},"modified":"2023-11-04T11:43:16","modified_gmt":"2023-11-04T18:43:16","slug":"amy-fulmer-returns-from-pan-am-games-to-lead-ohio-state-win","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/amy-fulmer-returns-from-pan-am-games-to-lead-ohio-state-win\/","title":{"rendered":"Amy Fulmer Returns from Pan Am Games to Lead Ohio State Win"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Amy Fulmer Returns from Pan Am Games to Lead Ohio State Win<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Amy Fulmer,<\/strong> in her first meet back from representing the United States at the Pan American Games, led Ohio State to a 222.5-77.5 in-state win over Akron Friday.<\/p>\n<p>Fulmer won the 200 freestyle in 1:47.93, a winning margin of nearly four seconds over teammate <strong>Teresa Ivan.<\/strong> Fulmer\u2019s time of 49.20 won 100 free and marked the only NCAA B cut time of the day.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/ohiostatebuckeyes.com\/documents\/2023\/11\/4\/akron_vs_osu_2023-11-03.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Meet Results<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/meet\/big-ten-swimming\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Big Ten Swimming News<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Fulmer split 49.44 off the 400 free relay, helping the team of <strong>Tristan Harrison,<\/strong> Ivan and <strong>Katherine Zenick<\/strong> to a win in 3:20.59.<\/p>\n<p>Fulmer picked up three medals <a href=\"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/pan-american-games-day-4-prelims-american-sprinters-in-strong-positions\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">at the Pan Am Games<\/a>, including silver in the women\u2019s 400 free relay and the mixed 400 free relay. She won a gold for her prelims swim on the women\u2019s 800 free relay and finished fifth in the women\u2019s 100 free at the meet in Santiago, Chile.<\/p>\n<p>The Buckeyes won all but two events in the home triumph. <strong>Gwen Woodbury<\/strong> swept the distance events with <strong>Maya Geringer<\/strong> second both times. <strong>Jessica Eden<\/strong> won the 200 butterfly in 2:00.55 and was second to teammate <strong>Krista Marlin<\/strong> (1:59.99) in the 200 backstroke.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Hannah Bach<\/strong> went 1:02.17 to win the 100 breaststroke and was third in the 200 breast. Zenick\u2019s time of 22.93 won the 50 free ahead of Harrison, who was third in the 100 free.
