Short-Course Championships<\/h4>\n<p><strong>Maxime Grousset<\/strong> claimed his third title in two days as he touched 0.01 ahead of <strong>Florent Manaudou<\/strong> in the 50 free at the <strong>French Short-Course Championships<\/strong>\u00a0in Angers.<\/p>\n<p>The four-day event serves as qualification for the French team for the\u00a0<strong>European Short-Course Championships<\/strong>\u00a0in Otopeni, Romania from 5-10 December.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.liveffn.com\/cgi-bin\/resultats.php?competition=83419&amp;langue=fra\">Link to results<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/maxime-grousset-anastasia-kirpichnikova-mewen-tomac-set-national-records-at-french-short-course-championships\/#google_vignette\">Day 1 report<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Grousset had already booked two swims at the continental meet following his 100 fly victory in a French record of 49.24 while also taking the 100IM title on the opening evening.<\/p>\n<p>On Friday, the six-time world long-course medallist swam the third-fastest time of his career to go well within the cut of 21.33 in 20.98.<\/p>\n<p>Manaudou &#8211; whose national record of 20.26 has stood since the 2014 short-course worlds &#8211; was a slither away in 20.99.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Nans Mazellier<\/strong> was third in 21.50.<\/p>\n<h3>Age Group Mark For Bricout; Tomac Claims Double<\/h3>\n<p><strong>Pacome Bricout<\/strong> broke the French age group record in the men&#8217;s 800 free, going 6.52secs inside the cut in 7:35.30.<\/p>\n<p>The 18-year-old, who competes in the 400-800-1500, was a double medallist at the <strong>French Elite Championships<\/strong> in June before going on to his first <strong>World Championships<\/strong> in Fukuoka where he finished 20th in the 800.<\/p>\n<p>On Friday, he finished ahead of European 1500 bronze medallist <strong>Damien Joly<\/strong> (7:36.59) and <strong>Logan Fontaine<\/strong> (7:37.44).<\/p>\n<p><strong>Mewen Tomac<\/strong> claimed the 100-200 backstroke double when he won the shorter distance in 49.99 (23.99\/26.00) ahead of <strong>Yohann Ndoye-Brouard<\/strong> (50.26), the cut standing at 50.76.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Beryl Gastaldello<\/strong> added a slot in the 50 fly to the 100 free she claimed on Friday, well within the cut of 25.54 in 25.09.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Mary-Ambre Moluh<\/strong> was second in 26.30, a day after third in the 50 back.<\/p>\n<p>Gastaldello then anchored an Etoiles 92 mixed medley quartet to victory in 1:41.77.<\/p>\n<h3>Victory For Bonnet<\/h3>\n<p><strong>Charlotte Bonnet<\/strong> also secured a second swim after winning the 200 free in 1:54.92 &#8211; well within the cut of 1:55.15 &#8211; a day after booking a slot in the 200IM.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Lucile Tessariol<\/strong> was second in 1:55.33.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Justine Delmas<\/strong> set a French age group record of 1:07.14 as she finished second in the 100m breaststroke behind <strong>Lucie Vasquez<\/strong> whose winning time of 1:06.96 was outside the QT.<\/p>\n<p>Olympic bronze medallist <strong>Federico Burdisso<\/strong> of Italy won the men&#8217;s 200 fly in 1:53.21 with <strong>Clement Secchi<\/strong> outside the cut as the first Frenchman home in 1:54.42.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Fantine Lesaffre<\/strong> was a notable absentee from the 400IM with the two-time Olympian <a href=\"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/2018-european-400im-champion-fantine-lesaffre-announces-retirement\/\">having announced her
