He got to wall in 2:10.71.<\/p>\n<p>Canada&#8217;s <strong>Brayden Taivassalo<\/strong> was 18 hundredths behind to take the silver medal in 2:10.89.<\/p>\n<p>Mexico&#8217;s <strong>Andres Puente Bustamante<\/strong> took the bronze medal in 2:11.99.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Women&#8217;s 100 Backstroke<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>USA took the top two spots in the women&#8217;s 100 backstroke with both swimmers breaking a minute.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Josephine Fuller<\/strong> touched the wall first in 59.67 to earn the gold medal.<\/p>\n<p>Compatriot <strong>Kenndy Noble<\/strong> took the silver in 59.84, just ahead of Canada&#8217;s <strong>Danielle Hanus<\/strong>, who claimed bronze in 1:01.49.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Men&#8217;s 100 Backstroke<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>In one of the closest races of the meet so far, the medalists in the men&#8217;s 100 backstroke all finished within five hundredths of a second of each other.<\/p>\n<p>USA&#8217;s <strong>Adam Chaney<\/strong> claimed the gold medal by getting to the wall in 54.20.<\/p>\n<p>Three hundredths of a second later was Argentina&#8217;s <strong>Ulises Saravia<\/strong> (54.23), who earned the silver.<\/p>\n<p>Two hundredths after Saravia was Canada&#8217;s <strong>Blake Tierney<\/strong>, who landed the bronze medal in 54.25.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Women&#8217;s 800 Free<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>USA&#8217;s<strong> Paige Madden<\/strong> turned in another stellar race to claim her second individual gold medal of the Pan American Games.<\/p>\n<p>Madden won the 800 free in 8:27.99 to add to her gold medal performance in the 400 free.<\/p>\n<p>Team USA&#8217;s <strong>Rachel Stege<\/strong> earned the silver medal with a swim of 8:28.50.<\/p>\n<p>Brazil&#8217;s <strong>Viviane Jungblut<\/strong> took the bronze in 8:33.55.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Men&#8217;s 800 Free<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Brazil&#8217;s <strong>Guilherme Costa<\/strong> claimed the gold medal in the 800 free by getting to the wall in 7:53.01.<\/p>\n<p>Costa held off Venezuela&#8217;s <strong>Alfonso Mestre<\/strong> by nearly two seconds. Mestre won the silver medal in a time of 7:54.46.<\/p>\n<p>USA&#8217;s <strong>Will Gallant<\/strong> earned the bronze medal with a swim of 7:58.96.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Mixed 400 Medley Relay<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The U.S. broke the meet record to win the Mixed 400 medley relay.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Kennedy Noble, Jake Foster, Kelly Pash<\/strong> and <strong>Jonathan Kulow<\/strong> got to the wall in 3:44.71.
