Aquatics Swimming World Cup<\/strong> in Budapest.<\/p>\n<p>It was the second best time of her career and third-swiftest by an Italian all-time, eclipsed only by her 1:05.70 at the 2022 national championships and <strong>Arianna Castiglioni&#8217;<\/strong>s domestic record of 1:05.67.<\/p>\n<p>The 18-year-old lowered <strong>Alia Atkinson&#8217;<\/strong>s <strong>World Cup<\/strong> record of 1:05.93 that had stood since the Dubai stop of the 2015 tour in a time swifter than that <a href=\"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/world-championships-benedetta-pilato-touches-out-elendt-meilutyte-for-100-breast-world-title-lilly-king-fourth\/\">in which she won the world title<\/a> (1:05.93) in the same <strong>Duna Arena<\/strong> in June 2022.<\/p>\n<p>It was also quicker than the 1:05.97 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/european-championships-italians-benedetta-pilato-lisa-angiolini-post-1-2-finish-in-100-breaststroke\/\">in which she claimed gold<\/a> at the
