His father, Brian, is a US Marine Corps veteran and his mother, Rose, the president of the West Point Parent Parents Club of Arizona.<\/p>\n<p>Regarding his commitment, he said:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><strong>&#8220;I am grateful to announce my verbal commitment to further my academic and athletic career at the United States Military Academy. Thank you to all the coaches and mentors who have helped me achieve this goal. It is an honor to uphold my family&#8217;s tradition of military service and to follow in my sister Erica\u2019s footsteps at West Point. I look forward to being a part of the Long Gray Line. GO ARMY BEAT NAVY.&#8221;<\/strong><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Esterly does his club swimming with Scottsdale Aquatic Club. He earned a best time at Arizona Seniors this past summer and finished 11th in the 100 fly at Phoenix Sectionals in March.<\/p>\n<p>His best times include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>100 fly \u2013 49.42<\/li>\n<li>200 fly \u2013 1:50.61<\/li>\n<li>50 free \u2013 21.02<\/li>\n<li>100 free \u2013 46.41<\/li>\n<li>200 free \u2013 1:42.38<\/li>\n<li>500 free \u2013 4:46.25<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Currently a junior at Pinnacle High School, Esterly placed fourth in the 100 fly and sixth in the 50 free at the Arizona State Championships in 2022.
