The two standouts will suit up for Cal&#8217;s Class of 2029.<\/p>\n<p>Regarding her commitment, she said:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><strong>&#8220;I\u2019m thrilled to announce my verbal commitment to pursue my athletic and academic career at the University of California, Berkeley. I want to thank everyone in my life who has helped make this possible for me, especially Coach Ron, Coach Carle, and my friends and family. GO BEARS!!!! \ud83d\udc3b\ud83d\udc99\ud83d\udc3b\ud83d\udc9b\ud83d\udc3b\ud83d\udc99\ud83d\udc3b\ud83d\udc9b&#8221;<\/strong><\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Weinstein competed in the 200m free at the 2023 World Championships, finishing 12th overall after making it to the semifinals. The 16-year-old won that event at Phillips 66 Nationals where she also placed third in the 800m free this past summer.<\/p>\n<p>In Summer 2022, Weinstein finished 10th in the 200m free at Worlds.<\/p>\n<p>Back in December, she was the runner-up in the mile at Juniors West in addition to earning bronze in the 100 free, 200 free and 500 free. Weinstein trains year-round with the legendary Sandpipers of Nevada.<\/p>\n<p>In SCY, her best times include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>50 free &#8211; 23.00<\/li>\n<li>100 free &#8211; 48.76<\/li>\n<li>200 free &#8211; 1:43.93<\/li>\n<li>500 free &#8211; 4:33.03<\/li>\n<li>1000 free &#8211; 9:25.06<\/li>\n<li>1650 free &#8211; 15:52.84<\/li>\n<li>400 IM &#8211; 4:07.72<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>In LCM, her best times include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>50m free &#8211; 26.16<\/li>\n<li>100m free &#8211; 55.07<\/li>\n<li>200m free &#8211; 1:55.26<\/li>\n<li>400m free &#8211; 4:06.24<\/li>\n<li>800m free &#8211; 8:21.00<\/li>\n<li>1500m free &#8211; 16:09.85<\/li>\n<li>400m IM &#8211; 4:48.06<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Weinstein owns the fastest times in the Class of 2025 in the 500\/1000\/1650 free.<\/p>\n<p>By the time she arrives in Berkeley, Cal will be part of the Atlantic Coast Conference.
