He served as an assistant coach at Division II Saint Leo University from 2018-2021. He also coached at McClintock High School in Arizona for the 2016-17 season.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/meet\/caa-swimming\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">CAA Swimming News<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&#8220;We feel extremely fortunate to add Erik to our coaching staff,&#8221; Drexel head coach <strong>Nathan Lavery<\/strong> said <a href=\"https:\/\/drexeldragons.com\/news\/2023\/9\/12\/mens-swimming-diving-drexel-names-erik-ripley-mens-and-womens-swimming-assistant-coach\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">in a university statement<\/a>. &#8220;The more we moved through this process with him the more it became clear that he would be a perfect fit for our program. Not only has he proven himself at every level he has previously coached at, but his personal values and the importance he places on the development of his athletes directly aligns with the values of our program. Erik has a tremendous reputation with everyone he has previously worked with, and I have no doubt that he&#8217;ll make an immediate impact on our team and community. Welcome to the Dragon family Erik!&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Since leaving Chowan, Ripley has focused on private lessons for high school athletes.<\/p>\n<p>A graduate of Towson University, Ripley was a four-year letterwinner and won the team\u2019s Tiger Spirit Award as a senior while being active in student-athlete representation on campus. While at Saint Leo, he received a master\u2019s of business administration.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;I am very excited to be joining Drexel Swimming and Diving,&#8221; Ripley said. &#8220;It&#8217;s great to be back in the conference I competed in when I was swimming.
