medley at the <strong>World Junior Championships<\/strong> in Netanya, Israel.<\/p>\n<p>The Japanese swimmer went 4:10.97 and sat atop the lane rope, arms outstretched, to celebrate his country&#8217;s first gold of the meet so far.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Olivia Wunsch<\/strong> anchored the Australia women&#8217;s 4&#215;100 freestyle relay in 52.61 as she claimed her third gold of the now<\/a> since becoming the youngest qualifier to the US Olympic trials.<\/p>\n<p>She headed the 800 in 8:29.66 and was just 0.08 off <strong>Mao Yihan<\/strong> in third at the final turn but ultimately finished outside the top three in fifth in 16:19.07.<\/p>\n<p>Teammate <strong>Kate Hurst<\/strong> stopped the clock in 16:09.37 ahead of Japan&#8217;s <strong>Ruka Takezawa<\/strong> almost a second off <strong>Apostolos Papastamos<\/strong> previous standard of 4:11.93 from Budapest 2019.<\/p>\n<p>The Japanese split 56.71\/2:02.54\/3:13.51 before coming home in 30.08\/27.38 for victory.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Zhang Shanshuo<\/strong> of China came from fourth at the 350 with a final 27.38 blast to take silver in 4:12.44 with<strong> Lorne Winnington<\/strong> of Canada claiming
