The Romanian international received a bachelor\u2019s degree in interdisciplinary studies in 2014 and a master\u2019s degree in education a year later. She set the school record in the women\u2019s 200 individual medley in 2013. She remains in the top 10 in program history in the 200 IM and 200 breaststroke through the end of the 2022-23 season.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/meet\/pac-12-swimming\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Pac-12 Swimming News<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>\u201cAlex is one of the best club coaches in the country and has led swimmers to numerous NAG records,\u201d head coach <strong>Bob Bowman<\/strong> said <a href=\"https:\/\/thesundevils.com\/news\/2023\/8\/29\/swim-dive-alex-sherman-joins-swim-and-dive-as-assistant-coach.aspx\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">in a university statement<\/a>. \u201cAs a Sun Devil, she will bring a special enthusiasm and energy to our team. We are thrilled to have her join us in Tempe.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Sherman has coached for the last six years at Swim Neptune in Arizona, elevating it to one of the top clubs in the state. She was named the Arizona Senior Coach of the Year in 2021, leading Swim Neptune to the program\u2019s first senior state championship. The club also won Speedo Sectionals and finished third in the boys competition at Junior Nationals.
