MIDDLETOWN, Connecticut, June 1. AT the CAC Long Course Age Group Qualifier at Wesleyan University, Meghan Lynch, 10, took down her third national age group record of the year. <\/p>\n

During finals of the girls 10-and-under 100-meter breaststroke, Greenwich YMCA’s Lynch powered her way to a 1:18.67 for the win and the 10-and-under national age group mark. She split the swim 37.19, 41.48 en route to a 1:18.67 that broke Annie Zhu’s 2005 record of 1:19.11. <\/p>\n

Lynch had a full weekend here in Middletown, winning the 200-meter free (2:17.97), 200-meter IM (2:33.76), 100-meter free (1:04.90), 50-meter fly (33.04), 50-meter breast (36.98), 100-meter back (1:15.80), 50-meter free (29.52), 100-meter fly (1:14.74) and the 50-meter back (35.30) in that order with her 100-meter breast occurring shortly before the 50 back finish.<\/p>\n

Earlier this year, Lynch already broke the 10-and-under short course yard records in the 50 breast (31.73) and 100 breast (1:08.07).<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
