HOUSTON, Texas, May 30. FIRST Colony Swim Team head coach Allison Beebe has submitted her resignation with FCST, and is now headed to be part of the coaching staff at Santa Clara Swim Club.<\/p>\n
\u201cI love this team and it has been a huge part of my life for almost a decade,\u201d Beebe told Swimming World<\/i>. \u201cLeaving is very difficult, but I’m excited for a new chapter.\u201d<\/p>\n
Beebe is staying at FCST through the end of the long course season, but will head to Santa Clara shortly after that.<\/p>\n
Beebe has been at FCST for nearly a decade, and has been the lead coach for American-record holder Simone Manuel. Since starting with First Colony, Beebe has led two swimmers, including Manuel, to the U.S. World Championship team along with four athletes ranked in the top 100 in the world. She’s also coached four U.S. Junior National team members, nine Olympic Trials qualifiers, and had more than 40 club members go on to swim in college.<\/p>\n
Beebe is an ASCA Level 5 coach and currently chairs the USA Swimming Club Development Committee.<\/p>\n
Prior to FCST, Beebe was the head age group coach at the City of Mobile Swim Association, and was voted the Southeastern Age Group Coach of the Year in both 2004 and 2005.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
