ANNA-KARIN Kammerling lowered her owsn, newly-set Swedish national record in the semifinals of the 100m fly tonight to highlight the fourth day of competition at the Swedish National Championships and World Championship Trials in NOrrkoping.<\/p>\n<p>Kammerling split 27.14 on her way to a very fast 58.76 time, setting up a battle tomorrow between herself and former record-holder Johanna Sjoberg.<\/p>\n<p>Will she be able to lower her time in the finals? What can we expect from a tapered A-K K in Barcelona?<\/p>\n<p>What everybody expected to be the feature final of the night &#8211; the men&#39;s 100 freestyle &#8211; finished with a silent crowd and the swimmers looking at each other in confusion, wondering about what they saw on the scoreboard: a winning time of 51.03 by Lars Frolander.  This by swimmers of much higher caliber, battling each other lane to lane. This in a race that was to have been the race to impress the national head coach, who was selecting the members of the 400m free relay team.<\/p>\n<p>Both the men&#39;s and women&#39;s 200 IM saw SMU swimmers emerge as champions. Micke Jakobsson , a senior, won the men\u00b4s race on 2:06.04 and freshman Sara Nordenstam took the ladies&#39; event in 2:19.14.<\/p>\n<p>In the womewn&#39;s 800 freestyle, USC&#39;a \u00c5sa Sandlund took her second convincing victory. The 400 freestyle for men was an exiting race though not swum on any international competetive times. The winner was Peter Edvardsson from Neptun, Stockholm.<\/p>\n<p>The 4&#215;200 freestyle was won also by Neptun with Peter Edvardsson fighting off breaststroker Martin Gustavsson from Malm\u00f6 in the last 20 meters.<\/p>\n<p>Quite a few semi-finals in addition to the ladies 100 fly were on tonight\u00b4s program. Emma Igelstr\u00f6m was fastest to the finals in 100 breaststroke on 1.09.21. Tomorrow will also feature the competetive 100 freestyle for ladies. Hopefully we will witness a race with more speed than today&#39;s corresponding men\u00b4s final.<\/p>\n<p><b>Swedish National Championships and<br \/>\nWorld Championship Trials<br \/>\nNorrkoping,
