ST. Margarita&#8217;s Katie McLaughlin tracked down the national high school record in the girls 100-yard fly, and had an epic night to lead her squad to the team title at the CIF Southern Sectional Championships.<\/p>\n<p>Swimming World correspondent Griffin Scott caught up with McLaughlin after the incredible evening.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/32eZ553bkz4?rel=0\" height=\"315\" width=\"560\" allowfullscreen=\"\" frameborder=\"0\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>McLaughlin had an amazing night in Riverside. She won the 200-yard free in 1:44.66 and the 100-yard fly in 51.78 with the fly being the newly-minted national high school mark in the event.<\/p>\n<p>She also had a pair of monster anchor legs for her team. She came home in 22.11 in the 200-yard free relay before closing out the 400-yard free relay with a 48.46 (23.22, 25.24).<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>RIVERSIDE, California, May 18.
