ROLAND Schoeman, fresh off the plane from South Africa after qualifying for his fifth Commonwealth Games, talked with <i>Morning Swim Show<\/i> host Jeff Commings at the Arena Grand Prix about his preparations for this summer\u2019s big competition. <\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"470\" height=\"315\" src=\"\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/mBCke6fKyfM?rel=0&#038;autoplay=1\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><br \/>\nNote: YouTube Measures Views Only For Episodes Watched On YouTube.com <\/p>\n<p>Schoeman said he chose to swim the 50 and 100 freestyles in Mesa at the Arena Grand Prix because of the proximity to his home in Phoenix and the opportunity to race some of the best sprinters in the world. At age 34, he\u2019s excited to be part of the elite sprinters in the world, and hopes to find himself in another Olympic championship final.<\/p>\n<p>Schoeman is part of a rich swimming tradition in South Africa, and he talks about the work that still needs to be done to make the sport more visible in the general community.
