who <a href=\"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/world-championships-dan-wiffen-writes-his-name-in-the-european-record-books-once-more-in-the-800-free\/\">set a European record of 7:39.19<\/a> when finishing fourth at the <strong>World Championships<\/strong> in Fukuoka &#8211; <strong>Kai van Westering<\/strong> taking silver in 54.08 and <strong>Evangelos Makrygiannis<\/strong> of Greece third (54.40).<\/p>\n<p>A second 50 of 32.02 steered <strong>Jan Kalusowski<\/strong> past <strong>Koen de Groot<\/strong> to take the 100 breaststroke title in 1:00.30 to 1:00.37.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Mitchell Mason<\/strong> of the US was third home in 1:00.42 but <strong>Luca Janssen<\/strong> took bronze in 1:00.52.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Isabelle Stadden<\/strong> of the USA touched first in the 200 back in 2:09.31 but it was <strong>Aviv Barzelay<\/strong> of Israel who topped the podium in 2:11.35 ahead of <strong>Lotte Hosper<\/strong> (2:13.47) and <strong>Reka Nyiradi<\/strong> (2:13.98).<\/p>\n<p><strong>Neza Klancar<\/strong> added the women&#8217;s 50 fly to title to her sprint free gold in 26.02 with <strong>Stergios-Marios Bilas<\/strong> of Greece claiming the men&#8217;s in 23.16.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Isabel Gose &amp;
