Here is a reminder of the 36 American athletes on the Team USA roster.<\/p>\n<p>This year\u2019s roster is highlighted by five Tokyo Olympic medalists, including gold medalis<strong>t Brooks Curry<\/strong> (Atlanta, Ga.\/Dynamo Swim Club), silver medalists <strong>Erica Sullivan<\/strong> (Las Vegas, Nev.\/Longhorn Aquatics), <strong>Jay Litherland<\/strong> (Alpharetta, Ga.\/Sun Devil Swimming) and <strong>Paige<\/strong> <strong>Madden<\/strong> (Mobile, Ala.\/New York Athletic Club), and bronze medalist <strong>Catie DeLoof<\/strong> (Grosse Pointe, Mich.\/New York Athletic Club).<\/p>\n<p>Leading the team will be coaches <strong>Brent Arckey<\/strong> (Sarasota Sharks), who most recently led the 2022 Junior Pan Pacs team in Hawaii, <strong>Mark Bernardino<\/strong> (NC State), <strong>Stephanie Juncker<\/strong> (University of Louisville), <strong>Jeremy Linn<\/strong> (Nation\u2019s Capital Swim Club) and <strong>Jake Shrum<\/strong> (University of Virginia).<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/results\/2023-pan-american-games-usa-roster\/international-elite\/2023\/August\/10?rtn=%2Fresults%2F\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Complete Roster<\/a><\/p>\n<p>In the last Pan Am Games, the U.S. team left the Pan American Games in Lima, Peru with 44 medals \u2013 21 gold, 15 silver and eight bronze &#8211; in 2019.<\/p>\n<p>The first Pan American Games were held in Buenos Aires, Argentina, in 1951 and the inaugural Parapan American Games were held in Mexico City in 1999. Both the Pan Am and Parapan Am Games are held every four years for the athletes of the 41 PASO member nations, in the year preceding the Olympic and Paralympic Summer Games.<\/p>\n<p><em>&#8212; USA
