Photo Courtesy: Delly Carr (Swimming Australia).<\/p><\/div>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cIt will be the last Olympics for me \u2026 I will be 26,\u201d Chalmers said.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cEven this year, being in the marshalling room before the race (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/world-championships-day-5-finals-kyle-chalmers-claims-elusive-prize-with-late-surge-in-100-free\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">World Championship final<\/a>), I was the oldest by quite a few years. There were a few born in 2002, 2003, one of the Romanian boys (world record holder <strong>David Popovici<\/strong>) just turned 18.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cThere\u2019s a lot of young guys rolling through. Even in Tokyo I was the second oldest at 22 and &#8216;the old boy&#8217; <strong>Caeleb Dressel<\/strong> has slowed down a little bit.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cI\u2019ll be old and ready to start the next chapter of my life.\u201d<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The news prompting some news outlets to read between the lines to suggest one of the world\u2019s fastest swimmers will be calling it quits\u2026\u2026after Paris\u2026. but not the case.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">With Chalmers quick to clarify saying: \u201cClick bait media working hard again&#8230; I am NOT RETIRING!!\u201d Chalmers posted on his <em>Instagram.<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cThere are many competitions after the Olympics that still give me the opportunity to represent my country at the highest level.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cWe have a World Short Course Championships in 2024, World Long Course Championships in 2025, Commonwealth Games in 2026 and plenty of World Cups in there also.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cI\u2019ll be busy. I have plenty of titles that need defending,<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cBut yes, Paris will be my third and most likely last Olympic Games\u2026.and 2028 is a very long way away\u2026but who knows?<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cIf the body and the mind hold up maybe, I\u2019ll even be in Brisbane in 2032.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cFor now, it\u2019s time to lock in and give my absolute all to having success in Paris.\u201d<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Chalmers declaring he\u2019s \u201cHungrier than ever.\u201d<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">As you were swimming world\u2026. business as usual for \u201cThe King\u201d even if it is with a \u201crolled ankle.\u201d<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The son of former South Australian football star <strong>Brett Chalmers<\/strong> was an early exit from an exhibition AFL game back in his hometown of Port Lincoln last weekend with training partner and fellow
