{"id":535030,"date":"2023-08-07T14:06:53","date_gmt":"2023-08-07T21:06:53","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/?p=535030"},"modified":"2023-08-07T14:06:53","modified_gmt":"2023-08-07T21:06:53","slug":"usa-swimming-announces-2024-schedule-around-olympic-trials","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/usa-swimming-announces-2024-schedule-around-olympic-trials\/","title":{"rendered":"USA Swimming Announces 2024 Schedule around Olympic Trials"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>USA Swimming Announces 2024 Schedule around Olympic Trials<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>USA Swimming <a href=\"https:\/\/www.usaswimming.org\/news\/2023\/08\/07\/usa-swimming-announces-2024-dates-for-its-domestic-events\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">on Monday announced<\/a> its schedule of events for 2024, the tentpole of which is U.S. Olympic Team Trials in June.<\/p>\n<p>The year will start with three TYR Pro Swim Series dates \u2013 in Knoxville, Tenn., Jan. 10-13; Westmont, Ill., March 6-9; and San Antonio, Texas, April 10-13.<\/p>\n<p>Open water championships will be held in Sarasota, Fla., May 3-5. It all builds up to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/olympic-trials-returning-to-indy-is-a-perfect-fit\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Olympics Trials in Indianapolis<\/a> from June 15-23, selecting the team for the Paris Olympic Games.<\/p>\n<p>While swimmers are away in Paris, the Speedo Summer Champs will be held in Irvine, Calif., from July 23-27. The senior and junior championships will be combined at that event.<\/p>\n<p>The Toyota U.S. Open will be held Dec. 4-7 at a site to be determined.<\/p>\n<p>New to the schedule is the Club Excellence Challenge Series, in which USA Swimming has partnered with three existing meets as a last tune-up for Trials.
