World Championships: Gold Medalists to Lead Australia in Mixed Free Relay (Full Lineups)<\/strong><\/p>\n

Australia has captured three relay gold medals already this week in Fukuoka, and the Dolphins will be favored for another in the mixed 400 freestyle relay, set for the end of night seven of competition in Fukuoka. Australia’s team features both individual 100 freestyle world champions, and the Aussies won both single-gender 400 free relays.<\/p>\n

All eight teams in the final go with the traditional male-male-female-female relay order.<\/p>\n

Jack Cartwright<\/strong>,\u00a0Kyle Chalmers<\/strong>,\u00a0Shayna Jack<\/strong> and\u00a0Mollie O’Callaghan<\/strong> swim for Australia, with Chalmers and O’Callaghan having already secured individual world titles while Jack is tied with O’Callaghan as the fastest women’s 100 freestyler in the world. Jack has two relay golds and one bronze this week.<\/p>\n

The Americans will lead off with 100 free silver medalist\u00a0Jack Alexy<\/strong>, and he will be followed by\u00a0Matt King<\/strong>,\u00a0Abbey Weitzeil<\/strong> and\u00a0Kate Douglass<\/strong>. This team lacks any significant weakness and will be favored for a silver medal here. Great Britain, meanwhile, will swim next to the Americans with 200 free world champion\u00a0Matt Richards<\/strong> leading into\u00a0Duncan Scott<\/strong>,\u00a0Anna Hopkin<\/strong> and\u00a0Freya Anderson<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Canada is missing some of its usual female relay stars, but\u00a0Josh Liendo<\/strong>,\u00a0Ruslan Gaziev<\/strong>, Maggie Mac Neil<\/strong> and\u00a0Mary-Sophie Harvey<\/strong> give the team a chance. Italy will be out strong with\u00a0Alessandro Miressi<\/strong> and\u00a0Thomas Ceccon<\/strong> at the front of the relay, but don’t expect this team to have the firepower to hang on down the stretch.<\/p>\n
