RYAN Cochrane\u2019s victory in the final of the 400 free was never in doubt at the Canadian long course nationals, but who would join him as a possible companion on the international roster?<\/p>\n<p>Cochrane put up a strong in-season swim to post a 3:47.30 to put him fourth in the world behind two Australians (David McKeon and Mack Horton) and Korean Tae-Hwan Park. Jeremy Bagshaw made a run to get automatic qualifying for the Commonwealth Games and Pan Pacific Games, but fell short of the 3:50.87 standard with a 3:51.09 that tied his personal best.<\/p>\n<p>Peter Brothers took third with a 3:54.57.
