came from third at the final turn to win the 200 free at the <strong>Swim Cup of Russia<\/strong>\u00a0in Kazan.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/new.russwimming.ru\/upload\/live\/ruscup2023_kazan\/index.html\">Link to results<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The meet features Russian and Belarusian swimmers who are banned from the international stage and coincides with the World Championships in Fukuoka.<\/p>\n<p>While <strong>Matt Richards<\/strong> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/world-championships-day-3-finals-matt-richards-leads-home-tom-dean-in-historic-british-1-2-in-200-free\/\">was leading home a British one-two<\/a> in Japan with <strong>Tom Dean<\/strong> in 1:44.30 to 1:44.32, Malyutin &#8211; who shared bronze with <strong>Duncan Scott<\/strong> at <strong>Gwangju 2019<\/strong> &#8211; was coming home in 1:45.67 thanks to a 26.77 final 50.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Ivan Girev<\/strong> (1:45.79) and <strong>Roman Akimov<\/strong> (1:46.06) completed the podium.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Daria Rogozhinova<\/strong> won the women&#8217;s 400IM in 4:44.04.<\/p>\n<p>They were the only finals of the opening day although there were a number of significant names in the semis.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Kliment Kolesnikov<\/strong> headed the 100 back, the Olympic silver medallist going 52.88, <strong>Evgenia Chikunova<\/strong> went 30.60 in the 50br with <strong>Ilya Shymanovich<\/strong> booking lane four in the 100br in
