Quan took home silver by more than 100 points with her score of 445.60.<\/p>\n<p>Chen\u2019s lead reached its apex after three rounds, up by 17.10 points. Quan delivered the best dive of the fourth and fifth round, including an all-10s effort on her 207C that scored 99.00 points. But Chen tallied 97.35 points in that round to keep Quan from making up too much ground.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/meet\/2023-world-aquatics-championships\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">2023 World Aquatics Championships<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.omegatiming.com\/2023\/world-aquatics-championships-div-live-results\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Worlds Diving Results<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>With the medals, China is 9-for-9 in gold medals. They\u2019ve added three minor medals (two silvers and one bronze). Chen and Quan paired to win 10-meter synchro.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Caeli McKay<\/strong> of Canada grabbed bronze. Four different divers occupied that final podium position at some point, but McKay delivered the best dive of the non-Chinese contingent in the sixth and final round, scoring 76.80 points on her 5235B. That raised her tally to 340.25 points and allowed her to hop past Spain\u2019s <strong>Ana Carvajal,<\/strong> who slipped from third to eighth in the final round.<\/p>\n<p>McKay was third after three rounds, but her fourth-round 207C earned only 44.55 points, dropping her to fourth. Mexico\u2019s <strong>Gabriela Agundez<\/strong> was doomed by a poor fourth-round dive, the 12th-best of the 12 finalists for 34.65 points. Carvajal had the worst dive of the final found, well-executed by a low degree of difficult on her 5231D to score just 47 points.<\/p>\n<p>Fifth place went to Great Britain\u2019s <strong>Lois Toulson,<\/strong> who had earned silver in synchro, with 319.30. American <strong>Delaney Schnell,<\/strong> a synchro bronze-winner, was sixth.<\/p>\n<p>China\u2019s dominance seems set to continue. <strong>Wang Zongyuan<\/strong> and <strong>Long Daoyi<\/strong> qualified first and second, respectively, in 3-meter men\u2019s springboard semifinals. Wang scored 546.25, Long 495.80. Wang and Long won gold in 3-meter men\u2019s synchro.<\/p>\n<p>Trying to break the deadlock is Great Britain\u2019s <strong>Daniel Goodfellow,<\/strong> who was third in semis after being second in prelims. <strong>Osmar Olvera<\/strong> of Mexico was fourth. Americans <strong>Andrew Capobianco<\/strong> and <strong>Tyler Downs<\/strong> made the final in ninth and 10th, respectively.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>China\u2019s Chen
