Tar Heels Snag Verbal From Versatile PJ Foy Out Of Alaska<\/strong><\/p>\n

NEW COMMIT:\u00a0<\/strong>The University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill has secured a new verbal commitment for the 2024-25 season from versatile PJ Foy\u00a0<\/strong>of Auke Bay, Alaska.<\/p>\n

He will join\u00a0Eddie Jin<\/a>\u00a0<\/strong>and Nate Hohm\u00a0<\/strong><\/a>in Chapel Hill as a member of the Tar Heels\u2019 Class of 2028.<\/p>\n

Regarding his commitment, he said:<\/p>\n

\u201cI think it\u2019s safe to say this boy doesn\u2019t have commitment issues, proud to announce my verbal commitment to University of North Carolina. Looking forward to looking good for UNC GO HEELS!”<\/strong><\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Foy, who trains year-round with Glacier Swim Club, most recently won eight gold medals (all of his events) at the Alaska State Championships in April. He also picked up five event wins at Western Zone Seniors: 50 free, 100 free, 100 breast, 200 breast and 100 fly, proving his versatility.<\/p>\n

Back in December, Foy raced to 11th in the 100 fly, 13th in the 200 breast, 19th in the 100 free and 23rd in the 50 free at Juniors West.<\/p>\n
