She placed fourth in the 200m freestyle at this year\u2019s Opens, qualifying her for the NZ women\u2019s 4&#215;200 metre relay team for Worlds in Fukuoka, Japan, later this summer.<\/p>\n<p>She told\u00a0<em>Swimming World:<\/em><\/p>\n<blockquote><p><span style=\"color: #ff0000\"><strong>&#8220;I am thrilled to announce my commitment to swim and study at Southern Methodist University in 2024!\u00a0 I am so thankful to coach Ozzie and this opportunity to swim for the Mustangs.\u00a0 I couldn\u2019t have done it without the support of my family, friends and coaches.\u00a0 GO MUSTANGS.\u00a0 #PonyUp&#8221;<\/strong><\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Osborne, who trains year-round with North Shore Swimming Club, most recently earned three best times at the ASA Short Course Championships earlier this month.<\/p>\n<p>Her first National Age Group title was in 2019 when, as a 13 year old, she won the 100m free at the NZ National Age Group Championships. As a 15-year-old, she won six individual titles and four in relays. Her 10 medals were the most of any swimmer at the meet. She won nine events at both the 2022 and 2023 meets.<\/p>\n<p>She&#8217;s undefeated in the 100m free at the Age Group championships.<\/p>\n<p>In LCM, her best times include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>50m free &#8211; 26.27<\/li>\n<li>100m free -56.70<\/li>\n<li>200m free &#8211; 2:01.79<\/li>\n<li>400m free &#8211; 4:21.06<\/li>\n<li>50m back &#8211; 30.12<\/li>\n<li>100m back &#8211; 1:04.12<\/li>\n<li>50m fly &#8211; 28.16<\/li>\n<li>100m fly &#8211; 1:03.78<\/li>\n<li>200m IM &#8211; 2:25.68<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Osborne will graduate from Rangitoto College at the end of this year. Swimming for Rangitoto College, Osborne has won eight NZ Secondary School swimming titles over the past four years.
