NEW COMMIT:\u00a0<\/strong>The University of Louisville has received a new verbal commitment for the 2024-25 season and beyond from\u00a0Avery Karl\u00a0<\/strong>of Shawnee Mission, Kansas.<\/p>\n

She will join\u00a0Camden Doane<\/strong><\/a>, Camille Murray<\/a>\u00a0<\/strong>and\u00a0Caroline Larsen<\/a>\u00a0<\/strong>in The Ville as a member of the Cardinals\u2019 Class of 2028.<\/p>\n

Regarding her commitment, she said:<\/p>\n

I want to thank my family, current coaching staff, teammates, friends, and future coaching staff for this amazing opportunity! I\u2019m so excited for the next four years at the VILLE! A talented sprint freestyler and butterflyer, Karl does her club swimming with Empire KC Swim Club.\u00a0 She most recently competed in the 50m free at Phillips 66 Nationals, taking seventh in that event at the TYR Pro Swim Series in Knoxville back in January.<\/p>\n

She won the 50 free at Juniors West in December and earned four gold medals in the 50\/100 free and 50\/100 fly at Columbia Sectionals in March.<\/p>\n
