Photo Courtesy: Wade&#8217;s Photos<\/p><\/div>\n<p>\u201cJenna has been managing a knee problem and she\u2019s just not ready for this preparation so it\u2019s not worth pushing it with the Olympics next year and World\u2019s was never part of Cate&#8217;s comeback plans, and she will get back onto training after some good results at the recent Mare Nostrum tour,\u201d said Taylor.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cCate will also consider racing the World Cups later in the year and the World Championships in Doha next February.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The Australian Trials for the July World Championships in Fukuoka will be swum at the Melbourne Sports And Aquatic Centre from June 13-18.<\/p>\n<p>Strauch\u2019s withdrawal comes after a previous injury blow to fellow Tokyo breaststroker, medley relay gold medallist, <strong>Chelsea Hodges <\/strong>(Southport, QLD), who had also been forced out for the season following career saving hip surgery.<\/p>\n<div class=\"oembed-wrap\">\n<blockquote class=\"wp-embedded-content\" data-secret=\"XEQZOdDje3\"><p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/breaking-australias-olympic-gold-medallist-chelsea-hodges-undergoes-career-saving-hip-surgery-forcing-her-out-of-world-champs\/\">Breaking: Australia\u2019s Olympic Gold Medallist Chelsea Hodges Undergoes Career Saving Hip Surgery Forcing Her Out Of World Champs<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" class=\"wp-embedded-content\" sandbox=\"allow-scripts\" security=\"restricted\" style=\"position: absolute; clip: rect(1px, 1px, 1px, 1px);\" title=\"&#8220;Breaking: Australia\u2019s Olympic Gold Medallist Chelsea Hodges Undergoes Career Saving Hip Surgery Forcing Her Out Of World Champs&#8221; &#8212; Swimming World News\" src=\"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/breaking-australias-olympic-gold-medallist-chelsea-hodges-undergoes-career-saving-hip-surgery-forcing-her-out-of-world-champs\/embed\/#?secret=f9P4hq0qfC#?secret=XEQZOdDje3\" data-secret=\"XEQZOdDje3\" width=\"500\" height=\"282\" frameborder=\"0\" marginwidth=\"0\" marginheight=\"0\" scrolling=\"no\"><\/iframe><\/div>\n<p>Australia will now go into Fukuoka as the Tokyo Olympic medley relay champions \u2013 without both Hodges and Campbell and now Strauch who won gold and silver in the Australian medley teams over 4&#215;50 (gold) and 4x100m (silver) at last December\u2019s World Short Course Championships in Melbourne.<\/p>\n<p>Australia\u2019s female breaststroke responsibilities will now fall heavily on the shoulders of third Tokyo Olympic breaststroker, <strong>Abbey Harkin<\/strong> (St Peters Western, QLD) who will have to swim her personal bests to make the qualifying times of 1:06.40 and 2:23.91.<\/p>\n<p>Harkin has best times of 1:06.69 and 2.23.59 \u2013 while the fastest Australian 100m breaststroker this season is dual Olympic backstroke gold medallist <strong>Kaylee McKeown<\/strong> with her 1:06.88 to win the Victorian State title in January.<\/p>\n<p>McKeown also holds the fastest season time over 200m breaststroke with her 2:24.18 to win the Australian title in April.<\/p>\n<p>But McKeown will not swim either breaststroke event at the Trials -with the dual world record holder concentrating on her backstroke \u2013 where she will race the 50, 100 and 200m \u2013 adding the 200m individual medley and the 4x200m freestyle as she targets the 4x200mn freestyle relay.<\/p>\n<p>McKeown has already had a memorable season -highlighted by her WR in the 200m backstroke of 2:03.14 at the NSW State Championships.<\/p>\n<div class=\"oembed-wrap\">\n<blockquote class=\"wp-embedded-content\" data-secret=\"6sfpEZucOr\"><p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/kaylee-mckeown-pops-sizzling-world-record-swim-of-203-14-in-200m-backstroke-to-highlight-night-one-of-nsw-championships\/\">Kaylee McKeown Pops Sizzling World Record Swim of 2:03.14 In 200m Backstroke to Highlight Night One of NSW Championships (Race Video)<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" class=\"wp-embedded-content\" sandbox=\"allow-scripts\" security=\"restricted\" style=\"position: absolute;
