Each event will have the women&#8217;s races followed by the men&#8217;s.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/tyr-pro-swim-series-mission-viejo-day-1-marwan-el-kamash-jillian-cox-take-1500-freestyles\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Day 1 Recap<\/a><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.usaswimming.org\/event\/2023\/05\/17\/default-calendar\/tyr-pro-swim-series-mission-viejo\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Meet Page<\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>TYR Pro Swim Series: Women&#8217;s 100 Free<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The women&#8217;s 100 freestyle was loaded with some of the top names in the sport, and they did not disappoint during prelims.<\/p>\n<p>A trio of two-time Olympians earned the top three seeds for finals with <strong>Abbey Weitzeil<\/strong> leading the pack at 53.71. <strong>Olivia Smoliga<\/strong> was second in 54.90 just ahead of<strong> Simone Manuel<\/strong>, who got to the wall in 54.91, setting up what looks to be a thrilling final as Weitzeil will be the one to chase.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>TYR Pro Swim Series: Men&#8217;s 100 Free<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>An extremely close men&#8217;s 100 free prelims followed the women&#8217;s race with three swimmers within four hundredths of a second of each other heading into finals.<\/p>\n<p>Olympian <strong>Ryan Held<\/strong> took the top spot in 49.31, just ahead of NCAA champion <strong>Youssef Ramadan<\/strong> (49.34) and <strong>Jonathan Kulow<\/strong> (49.35).<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>TYR Pro Swim Series: Women&#8217;s 100 Breaststroke<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Olympian <strong>Lilly King<\/strong> looked in strong form in the 100 breaststroke and was more than a half second ahead of the field during prelims.<\/p>\n<p>King finished in 1:07.85. NCAA champion<strong> Kaitlyn Dobler<\/strong> was next at 1:08.56, while <strong>Piper Enge<\/strong> took the third seed in 1:08.81.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>TYR Pro Swim Series: Men&#8217;s 100 Breaststroke<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Another close battle looks to be looming in the 100 breaststroke.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Jake Foster<\/strong> got to the wall in 1:01.34 during prelims to take the top seed in finals. Olympian <strong>Nic Fink<\/strong> is just behind at 1:01.68, followed by <strong>Brandon Fischer<\/strong>, who got to the wall at 1:01.80.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>TYR Pro Swim Series: Women&#8217;s 50 Backstroke<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The women&#8217;s 50 backstroke could be one of the more intriguing finals.<\/p>\n<p>Olympian <strong>Rhyan White<\/strong> took the top spot in 28.09, closely followed by <strong>Isabelle Stadden<\/strong> (28.33) and Olympian <strong>Claire Curzan<\/strong> (28.65).<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>TYR Pro Swim Series: Men&#8217;s 50 Backstroke<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Justin Ress<\/strong> sprinted to the wall first in the men&#8217;s 50 back. He touched in 25.19 to take the top seed in finals.<\/p>\n<p>Olympian <strong>Hunter Armstrong<\/strong> was second at 25.36, followed by Spanish Olympian <strong>Hugo Gonzalez<\/strong> (25.54).<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>TYR Pro Swim Series: Women&#8217;s 200 Butterfly<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Texas was stellar in the 200 fly at the NCAA championships and proved it once again.<\/p>\n<p>Recent seniors<strong> Kelly Pash<\/strong> and<strong> Dakota Luther<\/strong> took the top two seeds in Mission Viejo in the event. Pash got to the wall in 2:10.55, while Luther was just behind in 2:11.26.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Rachel Klinker<\/strong> took the third seed in 2:13.32.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>TYR Pro Swim Series: Men&#8217;s 200 Butterfly<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Former Cal star <strong>Trenton Julian<\/strong> claimed the top seed in the men&#8217;s 200 fly, going a 1:57.60 to finish nearly a second ahead of the field.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Jack Dahlgren<\/strong> took the second seed din 1:58.87, followed by <strong>Yeziel Morales<\/strong> (2:00.30).<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>TYR Pro Swim Series: Women&#8217;s 400 Free<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>After winning the 1500 free, <strong>Jillian Cox<\/strong> took the top seed in the 400 free on Thursday.<\/p>\n<p>Cox got to the wall in 4:13.91, followed b<strong>y Kayla Han<\/strong> (4:14.85) and <strong>Madi Mintenko<\/strong> (4:15.41).<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>TYR Pro Swim Series: Men&#8217;s 400 Free<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>In the final event of the morning, <strong>Coby Carrozza<\/strong> took the top seed in the men&#8217;s 400 free.
