Bick<\/p><\/div>\n<p>Milak heads to Japan having never been beaten in a senior international long-course pool in the 200 fly in which he&#8217;s the Olympic, world and European champion and world record-holder.<\/p>\n<p>He was beaten in home waters in <strong>Hungary<\/strong> by <strong>Tamas Kenderesi<\/strong>\u00a0\u00a0at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/kenderesi-wins-200-fly-at-hungarian-championships-kapas-pulls-out-sick-after-warm-up\/\">Hungarian Nationals in December 2020<\/a>\u00a0when Milak was still recovering from covid-19.<\/p>\n<p>At last week&#8217;s trials in <strong>Kaposv\u00e1r,\u00a0<\/strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/kristof-milak-soars-to-152-58-in-200-fly-at-hungarian-championships-in-kaposvar-returns-to-take-50-free-silver\/\">he went 1:52.58 for his 12th journey inside 1:53<\/a> in a time only he, <strong>Michael Phelps<\/strong> and <strong>Daiya Seto<\/strong> have bettered.<\/p>\n<p>There were also wins in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/kristof-milak-concludes-hungarian-championships-with-50-80-100-fly-benedek-kovacs-shines-in-200-back\/\">the 100 fly (50.80)<\/a>, 100 free (48.40) and 200 free (1:46.68) plus second in the 50 free (22.06) and 50 fly (23.27).<\/p>\n<p>Twelve men and 11 women were selected to the Hungary team following trials although swimmers can still make the roster in events where one or both of the slots are free.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Hubert K\u00f3s<\/strong> will also contest four events &#8211; the 100 fly, 200IM and 100 and 200 back.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Zsuzsanna Jakabos<\/strong> will compete in her 10th World Championships at 34 with <strong>D\u00e1vid Verraszt\u00f3<\/strong> celebrating his 35th birthday three weeks after
