It\u2019s just over a second outside of <strong>Dominik Kozma\u2019s<\/strong> national record of 1:45.54.<\/p>\n<p>Second place went to <strong>Nandor Nemeth<\/strong> in 1:47.13, just outside the automatic time to qualify for Worlds this summer.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/live.musz.hu\/event\/program?OnlineEventId=102699363\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Meet Page<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/kristof-milak-soars-to-152-58-in-200-fly-at-hungarian-championships-in-kaposvar-returns-to-take-50-free-silver\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Kristof Milak Soars To 1:52.58 In 200 Fly At Hungarian Championships In Kaposv\u00e1r; Returns For 50 Free Silver<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>It was the first of two swims for the reigning 200 fly Olympic champ. In the men\u2019s 50 fly, he finished behind <strong>Szebasztian Szabo<\/strong> in a thrilling two-man race. Szabo won in 22.93 seconds, just .03 off his national record. Milak was second in 23.27.<\/p>\n<p>Szabo also led off the 400 free relay with a split of 48.65 that was the fastest in the meet, for his Gyori Uszo SE team, which finished second.<\/p>\n<p>Friday was the third day of the four-day meet at the Kaposv\u00e1r Sports Center. Other action included:<\/p>\n<p>The women\u2019s 200 freestyle performances were just about as fast. <strong>Nikolett Padar<\/strong> ended up on top with a time of 1:57.81. That\u2019s an auto cut for worlds and an Olympic B cut. <strong>Ajna Kesely<\/strong> also booked a spot at Worlds by going 1:58.21 to finish second.<\/p>\n<p>Hungary is likewise sending two to worlds in the women\u2019s 400 individual medley. <strong>Boglarka Kapas<\/strong> won the event in 4:40.12, which is two tenths off the Olympic B cut for Paris. Second was <strong>Vivien Jackl<\/strong> in 4:42.96, under the cut for Worlds in Fukuoka. <strong>Zsuzsanna Jakabos<\/strong> was third.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Gabor Zombori<\/strong> routed the field in the men\u2019s 400 IM with a Worlds time of 4:14.14. He\u2019s also within a half-second of the Olympic B cut. He won the race by nearly eight seconds.<\/p>\n<p>Off an excellent freshman season at the University of Wisconsin, <strong>Dominik Mark Torok<\/strong> added a national title to his resume. He went 2:16.31 to pull away in a five-man race in the men&#8217;s 200 breast. He was .49 seconds up on <strong>Zsombor Bujdosi.<\/strong> <strong>David Verraszto<\/strong> finished third in 2:16.93, the three-time Olympian rallying from fifth at the 150-meter mark.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Eszter Bekesi<\/strong> was close to the Worlds standard in the 200 breast, falling .54 seconds shy with a winning time of 2:26.45. She was four seconds clear of <strong>Aliz Kalmar.
