Photo Courtesy: Daily Telegraph.<\/p><\/div>\n<p>After winning the 200m individual medley earlier in the program in a personal best time of 2:15.91 \u2013 leaving triple gold medallist at this meet <strong>Taryn Roberts<\/strong> (Rocky City, QLD) in second in 2:19.27 and <strong>Haylee Reid <\/strong>(Griffith University, QLD) third in 2:20.62.<\/p>\n<p>Also showing outstanding freestyle form were 15-year-olds <strong>Ainsley Trotter<\/strong> (St Peters Western, QLD) and <strong>Sylvia Czajko<\/strong> (UWA West Coast, WA) who continued their duels in the pool with Trotter turning the tables on her arch rival to win the 50m freestyle by a fingernail \u2013 25.66 to 25.68.<\/p>\n<p>It came after Czajko had earlier in the meet won the 15-years 100m freestyle over Trotter in a similar finish \u2013 the WA girl snatching the gold in 56.26 to Trotter\u2019s 56.33.<\/p>\n<p>Later in the evening Trotter was involved in another shoot-out in the 100m backstroke, this time it was <strong>Zoe Ammundsen<\/strong> (Iona College, QLD) winning in 1:02.04 who turned the tables on Trotter who had beaten her on night one in the 50m backstroke \u2013 Trotter finishing with silver in 1:02.55.<\/p>\n<p>While WA\u2019s <strong>Isobel Sheldrick <\/strong>(St Hildas, WA) 1:02.56 (third in the 50m) was the barest margin away, again in third in 1:02.56.<\/p>\n<p>While in the 16-years boys it was Cranbrook\u2019s <strong>Marcus da Silva<\/strong> who added the boys 50m title in 23.31 to his win in the 100m in 50.05 as he tries desperately to get under the magical 50 second barrier \u2013 so often a milestone in a swimmer\u2019s career that comes when they least expect it.<\/p>\n<p>While the 100m girls butterfly in the 14 years saw Manly Swimming Club\u2019s <strong>Lillie McPherson<\/strong> scoot away to take the gold in 1:00.08 \u2013 again so close to that magical 60n seconds barrier.<\/p>\n<p>And her Manly club mate Joshua Kerr, gold last night in the 50m backstroke, was also involved in another battle of the beaches classic shoot out with Miami\u2019s <strong>Karl Albertyn<\/strong> in the 17 years 200m individual medley \u2013 Albertyn taking it out in 2:02.29 to Kerr\u2019s 2:02.45.<\/p>\n<p>The opening race of the night again saw Darwin hot shot <strong>Macey Sheridan<\/strong> from the Northern Territory at the top end of her age group collect her third gold medal in three nights \u2013 this time in the 13 years 100m backstroke \u2013 clocking an eye-catching 1:03.69.<\/p>\n<p>(And it is worth noting that the Australian record of 1:02.23 was set back in 2015 by none other than 2020 Olympic champion and now world record holder Kaylee McKeown.)<\/p>\n<p>Coached by <strong>Tim Few <\/strong>\u2013 a Northern territory Coach of The Year winner, Sheridan has now won the 200m backstroke, the 50m freestyle and the 100m backstroke \u2013 with the 100 and 200m freestyle, 200IM and the 50m backstroke and 50m butterfly to come.<\/p>\n<p>There was another great swim from <strong>Amelia Weber<\/strong> (St Peters Western, QLD) who added the 200m freestyle to her 400m win\u2013 taking the 200m freestyle in 1:58.42 while St Peters Western\u2019s Queensland State Surf champion <strong>Kai Gilbert\u2019s<\/strong> 1:52.82 to win the 200m freestyle also caught the eye.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Results, <\/strong><strong>Day
