The psych sheets for the Australian Championships have been released, and while there could be some changes to the entry lists, we have a good idea of who will focus on which events.<\/p>\n<p>Not surprising, the women&#8217;s 100-meter freestyle is absolutely stacked, with Olympic champion <strong>Emma McKeon<\/strong> headlining a field that will also include reigning world champ, <strong>Mollie O&#8217;Callaghan<\/strong>, former world-record holder <strong>Cate Campbell<\/strong> and <strong>Shayna Jack<\/strong>. Meanwhile, Ariarne Titmus will have the chance to respond to the recent world-record assault of Canadian <strong>Summer McIntosh<\/strong> in the 400 freestyle. It was Titmus&#8217; global standard that McIntosh broke.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Kaylee McKeown<\/strong> is slated to contest the 100 backstroke, 200 backstroke and 200 individual medley. McKeown recently broke the world record in the 200 backstroke, and more fireworks can be expected by the multi-time Olympic champion.<\/p>\n<p>On the men&#8217;s side, 2016 Olympic titlist <strong>Kyle Chalmers<\/strong> will go to work in the 100 freestyle as the top seed. Chalmers will get the chance to chase the top time in the world, which is currently held at 47.61 by Romanian teenager <strong>David Popovici<\/strong>.
